Maybe he has finally had to have a piss?
A Stig style ‘special big wee’ was it?

(On a more serious note, I’m starting to get worried by the lack of rain. The Chase isn’t a heathland right now, it’s a sandpit with heather in it.)
Don't laugh - we've had rain in the sandpit today and yesterday. Proper storms too, very unusual for May. Maybe the rain gods want to keep everyone inside for the Eid celebrations.

It's a rational explanation for otherwise bizarre conduct by Mr C? Mr Murrtay doesn't say he's right - just that it's one possibility., given the timing of the agreement to develop [edit] the vaccine .

Not sure about that. I reckon I could drive 250 miles without a pee, but with a four year old and sick wife in the car. Very unlikely.

(Don't really like the milk bottle idea....bit messy, risky. Wouldn't have worked with my four year olds.)
I remember driving from Glasgow to Birmingham without stopping.

Eh? Firstly that wasn't Dominic Cummings speaking. And secondly it was already known that the police had spoken to Cummings senior. 'Family' in that quote no doubt refers to Cummings and his wife.

You need to calm down before throwing around accusations of lying. There's plenty of real ammunition to throw without making up your own.

I have never claimed to be. I note though that there has been obfuscation around this aspect of the story.

This is potentially more significant, for 2 reasons:-

    1. There may well have been a reasonable excuse for the initial dash up home with sick family.
    2. But a wander around town some time later? What was the reason for that? No firm denial and no clear explanation either. He may well not have been doing anything criminal at all but doing something which, for whatever reason, the government does not want us to know about.

I am curious as to whether that might be what is happening here and why Boris is putting so much effort into fighting for his advisor. I am also curious about what this “something” might be and why it is being kept secret.

Of course I may be wrong.

I simply note the coincidence of there being a GSK plant at Barnard Castle, GSK’s public statements about the work they are doing on developing a vaccine and the fact that Sir Patrick Vallance, the government’s CSO, was a former president of R&D at GSK between 2012 - 2018.

Were there - possibly - meetings going on which for some reason the government does not want to admit to? If so, why?
