Massive swing to Labour in London. This is the revenge of the Remainers.
Massively.
I wish Theresa May had read PB when we were talking about Brexit for the 60%. We needed to discard each of the 20% extreme Brexit/Remain voters and deliver Brexit for the middle 60%. Instead Theresa went for a narrow hard Brexit policy and now we're in the shit.
I can't say I'm enthused by Corbyn but I'm very pleased voters haven't done what the right-wing press have told them to. Perhaps their malign hold over this country is finally broken.
Corbyn has been clear on Brexit. As Laura K pointed out why should it be assumed Ukip voters would all go Tory? You've got a perfectly good Eurosceptic in Corbyn. Combined with the Russell Brand/Lily Allen vote it's quite powerful.
It's interesting that Corbyn's lukewarm stance against Brexit was seen as a big mistake compared with the LibDem commitment to a second referendum, but the subtler approach proved more popular.
It is extraordinary, truly. I feel happy, you must be truly elated.
+1. Don't know if I posted it in this thread or the other one, but I apologise to all Corbynistas, especially Nick Palmer.
