Lost with three little words: "citizens of nowhere".
Bloody right: the most disgraceful speech ever made by a serving PM of this country!

Basically we can say, yes the short campaign does matter and does change minds. Sometimes.

Amber Rudd breaking down in tears

    Poor lass. Doesn't deserve this.

No, she doesn't. More guts, passion and fight than her leader.

Labour say they have taken Broxtowe, Pudsey and beaten Clegg in Sheffield Hallam, confirms the anti austerity mood

Broxtowe moving rightwards - against the trend - then.
lol - have you looked up Labour's candidate? Really nice guy, and also a passionate Momentum activist.

Massive swing to Labour in London. This is the revenge of the Remainers.

    Massively.

I wish Theresa May had read PB when we were talking about Brexit for the 60%. We needed to discard each of the 20% extreme Brexit/Remain voters and deliver Brexit for the middle 60%. Instead Theresa went for a narrow hard Brexit policy and now we're in the shit.

I can't say I'm enthused by Corbyn but I'm very pleased voters haven't done what the right-wing press have told them to. Perhaps their malign hold over this country is finally broken.

Towns that are connected to the global economy are voting labour.

so are the small provincial towns actually. That is the tories problem.

Corbyn has been clear on Brexit. As Laura K pointed out why should it be assumed Ukip voters would all go Tory? You've got a perfectly good Eurosceptic in Corbyn. Combined with the Russell Brand/Lily Allen vote it's quite powerful.

It's interesting that Corbyn's lukewarm stance against Brexit was seen as a big mistake compared with the LibDem commitment to a second referendum, but the subtler approach proved more popular.

It is extraordinary, truly. I feel happy, you must be truly elated.

+1. Don't know if I posted it in this thread or the other one, but I apologise to all Corbynistas, especially Nick Palmer.

After the exit poll at 22:00 BST cast doubt on an overall Conservative majority the pound slumped by more than two cents to $1.2717.

    Hard Brexit has died.

All we need is taxes to go not up massively for most people in this country, and I'm happy.

    Brexit is gone...finished...garroted....
tyson. I'm speaking to you honestly here. PB Tories think Corbyn will be economically a disaster for us.

What do you think? Do you think it's just an exaggeration?

He would be severely restricted. The MPs being elected are largely moderates.

Thank you. My thoughts as well.
