Very creditable UKIP 2nd place in Brightside - at least kept the Labour majority down to 4 figures

It is worrying when the mayor of a major UK city has such a poor grasp of spoken English - but there we are.

My initial expression is that the electoral bias will be increasing further to the Tories with Labour running up useless scores in places they already have big vote shares. About the only place this might help them in 2020 is one or two London marginal. Meanwhile Derbyshire NE heads CON Tec.

I know - but that doesn't make it any better. The failure to encourage all communities to integrate is a failure that we will regret for decades to come.

UKIP on about 20%, down a couple of points from 2015

But that's exactly what you expect with a left wing Lab leader.

It's not a fluke that Blair got huge bias in Lab favour and Cameron has got a bias in Con favour.

You optimise efficiency by losing core supporters and gaining floaters.

Labour will be pleased to have held Harlow, Stevenage, Hastings and Nuneaton and Bolton, all of which have Tory MPs and it looks like the Tories have lost Worcester too, so some crumbs of comfort for Corbyn there, though the Tories have held the likes of Tamworth and Swindon which are key marginal seats

Jeremy Vine on the BBC. The important part of the graphic is the map or the table. They're less than 50% of the screen real estate, with the rest taken up by him and some generic pictures. The map has topographical info for no reason at all. His presentation is very silly.

Eastwood was 11/10 to go Tory with Ladbrokes. I was very tempted to bet on it, what with the demographics in the constituency.
