Hi,
Great header on the Blob. I wish I could comment directly, but I'm afraid I am up against the Blob. They will take it personally!
Between us, I am trying to build a tidal lagoon power station at Cardiff. It would be 3.2GW of zero-carbon electricity - exactly the same power output as Hinkley C. Hinkley C: £50 billion, 60 years lifespan. Cardiff tidal: £12 billion, 180 year life span. A group of 5 civil servants went on record c.2015 saying we had to go with more nuclear. They did not take well to hearing there was an option that was faster, cheaper, longer-lived, no fuel to source, no toxic waste. So they did all they could to kill it.
A report went to Theresa May to decide whether to support tidal lagoon power stations. One of the numbers in that report was £30 billion wrong - in favour of nuclear. Another was £60 billion wrong - in favour of nuclear. This only came out when the report became known - once the decision not to support was made.
The Blob is real!
