If true, that is serious for Remain. Broxtowe has lots of Notts University lecturers and professors.
I can hardly believe it, though. The Universities are one of the big winners from the EU.
If Broxtowe is Leave, it is all over, IMHO.
Broxbourne she said, IIRC.
Yes, nothing about Broxtowe yet that I've heard. I'm not especially hopeful there - big Tory and WWC hinterlands. But I don't think we get constituency results, though, do we?
Oxford, Slough, Brighton, Bristol, Exeter, Cambridge, Norwich. Not sure about Luton.
Southern Bedfordshire Luton is a good call. If Remain cannot win this by ten-percent they are as t'ick as Prof Curtice [of Al-Beeb; repeater that pensioners favour 'Remain'] and deserve the contempt of the electorate.
The political class are responsible for fostering the split over the last 15 years. They've spent gargantuan amounts of money on London projects while letting small towns in the provinces stagnate.
Goodness this country is divided like never before.
These are enormous differences and polarities. At risk of boring on and repeating myself, whatever minutiae happened in London today to affect turnout, such as unappealing rain and cancelled trains could possibly make a huge difference, in this situation.
And we thought Scotland vs England would be controversial. It looks like London will either be dragged out of the EU by provincial England, or vice versa...
This has feelings of shock and disbelief that mirror May 2015. If there was an accurate Exit Poll then you kind of get the feeling now that Exit Poll would have shown a shock Leave Win at 10pm with everyone now saying "I'll eat my hat" etc
It's bigger than anything in my lifetime, even 1992. If this sets the pattern it is simply sensational.

The British state will not let London (or the rump of England) "go".

Get in THERE!!!!!
Pity it's so wet.
I made 'lunchtime-ish' noises and nobody kicked back.
COME ON!!!!
One of my work colleagues was worried by your governments rhetoric and asked a senior city trader whom he knows about what will happen financially.
Answer - short term uncertainty, no real change longer term.
I suspect you might already know this.
N Warwickshire - 70/30
Nuneaton - 80/20
Hartlepool 70/30
all to Leave
Lewisham 17/83 to remain

They are outperforming in all the areas so far.
I must have misheard.
Goodness this country is divided like never before.
I have gone all shaky.
Knackered, got a headache, know I need to get up in a few hours .... but.... but OMG can't look away right now.
I am still holding everything crossed for the shire Tories, the cockneys, the shires.....come on
Nostalgia!
Can London and Scotland save it for Remain? Depends a bit on turnout but at this rate the answer's 'no.'

Low in Remain strongholds (Scotland, NI), high everywhere it's normally low (Labour WWC Strongholds).
Remain UTTERLY FUCKED. Arse.
HELLO!! Fecking hell - why are they surprised?? I could've told them the way the wind was blowing.
Odds on him being next Labour leader? Alastair M did tip him....
Edit: but yes, you're right re Portillo-alike!
