Must have been very close between the tories and Labour for that last seat on the north east. On those rounded percentages it was a draw.

    UKIP - 33%, Lab - 27 %, Con - 24%, Green - 5%, LD - 5%

Labour quite a bit higher than I expected.

It's rolling, not a projection - terrible to put it on screen without context - showing lab in front now.

The Lib Dems are finished. They will become a rump party of middle class greenies in the south and southwest, with maybe an MP for Fair Isle.

UKIP need to start winning MPs, and fast - with the collapse in the LD vote, it is not good if that bolsters the big two and makes them even more distant and arrogant, safe in the knowledge that outside of a few specific areas it will always be a two way fight in England at least.

Watching the BBC. Very interesting that in the first regional confirmed vote and in smaller districts the Conservatives are losing votes, but no more than 5%. What seems to be happening is that the Lib Dems have collapsed massively, as with a few of the 'others' parties too.

In his defence, it is hard for him not to foul it up when so many of his side secretly or not so secretly agree with the opponents. How much of that is his fault is up for debate, but it is at least partly a bed of his own making of course.
