I was hoping to have the final real vote figures from the local elections ready by now but I haven't been able to do it, partly because of the poor quality of some council websites. I'll carry on with the job while the Euro results come in.
Its not just our results that are going to spook the EU, FN in France, Syriza in Greece...
And that will be the main story in the media for the next few weeks.
Pressure will build for the EU to engage in a reform dialogue. All to Cameron's benefit.
A hint of what was to come was Barroso's efforts a couple of weeks ago to contain Britain's desire for renegotiation to an exemption for a single country rather than a pan Union movement.
Barroso is losing. It is Cameron and Hague's timing which will be lauded in years to come.

Mr. Pulpstar, perhaps. They're rarer, which may mean a higher standard is necessary for a woman to become leader, so the only female leaders tend to be very good, whereas men can be anywhere from superb to Gordon Brown.
Not impressed by the blonde woman in the BBC election studio. Is supposed to be an expert but doesn't know the answer to any concrete questions from Dimbleby.

Yeah, but shes fit, so we can give her the benefit of the doubt
Good to see the centre-right parties falling in Europe as a whole, down to 211 seats vs 265 in the last Parliament. Divisions in the right are making them unelectable
They gave it a go, I'll give them that, but the basics are that even most of those who want to stay in the EU don't like the EU, so the pro-EU vote should rather go to the Tories or Labour, with the LD position even more unpopular than their core national policies.
That said, I voted for them, possibly out of sympathy. I like to have as many parties having MPs and MEPs as is possible under the systems we use, so I don't think they deserve a wipeout.

And yet still the largest grouping, so hardly unelectable.

Labour quite a bit higher than I expected.
The Swedish conservative party (Moderates) are in utter shock. They all look physically sick. Just 13.5% is abyssmal.
