Sun worm hammering Miliband.
Nicola well ahead.0 -
I think calling Ed a chump is a bit cruel.glw said:Two serious politicians and five chumps.

She's the only one of the 7 I've crossed paths with. I walked passed her outside the Welsh Assembly building whilst she was having a fag. Smiled at me too.JackW said:Wood ok. Smiles, looking confident.

Cameron has used up all his statistics in the first five minutes.0
-
Clegg taking the middle of the road by attacking both the Tories and Labour on the economy.0
-
The sun worm!
If you believe the worm we would have a Tory majority.0 -
Where is the worm? Not seeing it on ITV0
-
Goodness, this is so stilted.0
-
Maybe he has actually done some prep for this one, rather than last week where he decided it wasn't required.Freggles said:Cameron has used up all his statistics in the first five minutes.

Wood just said debt instead of deficit. I guess the average voter might not get the difference though...0
-
Clegg is doing well I think.0
-
Coalition record on the Deficit is ripped to shreds.0
-
I begin to see that the format is working against Cameron, he is 1 vs 6 on the economy.
He is attacked by everyone on the economy, even Clegg.0 -
Farage's answer is the first from anyone that sounds even remotely natural/spontaneous.0
-
Farage nailing it. He's the only one with a clear message.0
-
Clegg is good at this0
-
Ed ok opening statement. Dave dull.0
-
None of them are answering the question.0
-
Clegg literally behaving like a worm on the worm. He's burrowed down and is showing no sign of wanting to come back up.0
-
Well said Ed on tax receipts.0
-
If Ed is going to make an impact it'll be in the open debate, not the set pieces0

I want to see her go big on preserving the Welsh language. Debt and deficit are irrelevant, that's Plaid's USP.tlg86 said:Wood just said debt instead of deficit. I guess the average voter might not get the difference though...

Fair taxes, awesome, common sense spending reduction, cool, boosting living standards, yay!
How Ed? How will you do these things? *silence*0 -
Miliband says taxes cut by £43k for millionaires.
Not true. He means people earning £1million PER YEAR.
Very different.0 -
BBC news channel also has it's own worm. The 2 nationalists are doing worst so far0
-
Miliband does a Clegg looking straight to Cameron.
I just get the feeling he looks diminished in this crowd.0 -
Yup. He just sounds so awful when doing the pre-scripted soundbites. I don't know if he's going to get the chance to do the kind of natural "free-roaming" he did last week.Freggles said:If Ed is going to make an impact it'll be in the open debate, not the set pieces

Well fancy that, and from Rochdale too.
It is possible they weren't trying to join ISIS and had another reason to get out of the country as quickly as possible....
Bless.0 -
Oh Clegg is attacking Cameron voluntarily.0
-
This is looking bad for Cameron. Even Clegg is going after him.0

Could be a long night for Cameron if even Clegg is picking him first.0

In order to completely kill off the (admittedly feeble) Labour argument that a vote for the SNP is a vote for the Tories, she'll want to maximise the support she gets from south of the border. If she can get left-wing English journalists, pundits and voters to say she came over better than Ed M (which shouldn't be hard), then she'll have a good argument to use in Scotland that a vote for the SNP is a safe vote for Labour voters.
The issue is whether the SNP policies resonate with N English voters (or other rUK voters) who want but can't have them thanks to the Westminster consensus (etc). Even doing down Labour and Tory votes a little can't do any harm; and it also - as you say - detoxifies the SNP [edit]but also for English voters as well. After all the rabid Emmanuel Goldstein treatment of Mr Salmond in the English and Unionist Scottish media, Nicola Sturgeon speaking her own words is likely to be a surprise. How much of an impact is another matter of course.MaxPB said:
Detoxify the SNP for wavering SLAB voters. If the SNP come across as a reasonable non-separatist movement that isn't interested in another independence referendum then it will help them hold onto a lot of the 45% and a lot of the tartan Tories who loathe Labour and have nowhere else to go.RodCrosby said:Did my ears deceive me or did Faisal Islam just say Sturgeon "would be appealing to Labour voters in northern England"?

God, Ed is atrocious so far. Sturgeon and even Clegg have been giving much more coherent critiques of austerity.0
-
Cameron is drowning as he is attacked by everyone on the economy.0
-
Sturgeon backs Ed.
vacuous round numbers from her on poverty.0 -
Nige and Natalie. With Nicola close behind0
-
People who oppose balancing the books then complain they're not balanced are ridiculous. Especially when it comes from Labour.
Its like pyromaniacs picketing the fire brigade and then complaining that the firefighters didn't put out the fires they started quick enough.0 -
Clegg is so shameless it is actually great.0
-
Careful Nick, you could lose the support of Con tactical voters in Sheffield Hallam who you need to keep your seat.0
-
It's kicking off0
-
Oh dear, turning into a farce.0
-
Nigel being an idiot.0
-
Can I vote all seven as useless?
I think Milliband is going to win this by a mile.0 -
Farage is having a fit on the deficit talk.0

-
Farage 1.44!!!0

What's the "SunWorm" saying? My suspicion is Ed is tanking.0
-
Decent policies getting discussed tonight.
What a difference the absence of rightwing newspapers makes.0 -
That shot of Cameron while Nathalie mentions disabled people getting hit with the bedroom tax was brutal0
-
Clegg far too over eager.0
-
The kick offs are good.
This should happen all the time! Would be good for politics0 -
Cameron looking uneasy as bedroom tax comes up.0
-
Cameron clearly looks that he is not enjoying it, he is now sweating.0

Thai broth with noodles has not gone down too well - the fish did not go well with the broth.

I don't know why but what springs to my mind is that pompous English officer from Last Of The Mohicans. Goes from being a cowardly fop to sacrificing himself as a hero by choosing to be burnt at the stake.Roger said:IOS. Marf's somewhat right listening on 5 live at least. Full marks to the MC, however.

The women of the debate are winning this by a mile.
They look cool and sound reasonable while the men are all shouting at each other.0 -
Cameron vs others could swing this one way or the other. Milibland is become an other while Cameron gets to respond to everyone questioning him.0
