No way LD vote would be nose diving faster than a Beoing 737 Max without Super Jo.

But there is something fundamentally wrong with your model in London. I do not suggest the LDs will win Finchley or Hampstead - but those LD %s are impossible.Barnesian said:
As has already been explained, the LD vote going down is because of successful tactical voting. It will be going up in LD target seats and dropping rapidly in non-target seats to avoid splitting the remain vote. There are many more non-target seats so the average LD share comes down but hopefully the number of targets seats won by LDs goes up.bigjohnowls said:

Yes. I would imagine that any performance other than bursting into flames in the middle of the stage will be seen as a victory for Corbyn, so low are expectations.GIN1138 said:

On the other hand, what proportion of the electorate will be paying attention, and how many of those will be undecided? Not many and even fewer, I would suspect.
Being a pessimist I'm still concerned by the possibility of Labour catching up as in 2017, but one has to remember at this point that, looking back through electoral history, campaigns often make little difference to the outcome. If most voters have already made up their minds then the partial stand-down of the Brexit Party and a modest squeeze of the Lib Dem vote share may be about as far as it goes between now and election day.
We shall, of course, find out in just over three weeks' time...0 -

At his best, Boris is showbiz, brings sparkle, is genuinely funny and is someone everyone wants to be friends with. At his worst he is a gallumphing, plodding, inarticulate bully.
At his best, Corbs is a hugely effective advocate of those in need of help and fighter against injustice; at his worst he is shouty, small-minded, and bigoted.

Their proposals for the former are meaningless drivel. Leaving aside the fact Gove promised something similar in 2010 (I wonder how that went?) what they are proposing is either local authority control or effectively academy chain control. Both have been utterly disastrous. They are a recipe fo cronyism, incompetence and waste.kle4 said:

Not abolishing private schools, which surprises me.
Even if their proposals on private education and charitable status are legal and practical, as I have repeatedly pointed out VAT on school fees would close most private schools. So while they have the right idea in terms of cutting class sizes to 20, the money they have put aside for it is laughably inadequate. £12 billion a year would be none too much.
So - just to be clear - they’re proposing zero carbon transport and proposing to eliminate the only realistic way of achieving it? They want to build lots of railway lines, just not the only one that will make a big difference?kle4 said:

Corbyn's tie is so red that it's almost SNP Orange. Not that he's pointing the way to the SNP...0

How many times in Boris going to mention how many CON candidates are standing?!0

HS2 won't make a difference.ydoethur said:
Their proposals for the former are meaningless drivel. Leaving aside the fact Gove promised something similar in 2010 (I wonder how that went?) what they are proposing is either local authority control or effectively academy chain control. Both have been utterly disastrous. They are a recipe fo cronyism, incompetence and waste.kle4 said:
Replacing Ofsted.
Trident, new roads, airports, HS2 axed
A read through and it’s a bunch of unicorn policies put forward by a bunch of self righteous but dimwitted authoritarians. It’s like Labour’s policy offering but with a better colour scheme and less violence.0 -

It is hugely unfortunate and not his fault but Jezza's eye is distracting and his glasses act like a barrier between him and everyone else.0
-
Boris has mentioned 635 candidates backing his deal 3 times already, I think he's memorised the wrong points to repeat.0

BORIS: Is Mr Corbyn leave or remain
JEREMY: That's not up to me
And the grave gets dug deeper.0 -
Is Corbyn wearing someone else's glasses? They're so wonky.0
-
Jezza not saying whether he supports leave or remain is a bad look imo (paging @kinabalu).1

Boris has learned from Cameron's mistake of calling Nick Clegg by his first name.
Corbyn can't say whether he will campaign for Leave or Remain in JezRef.0 -
Bloody clapping.0

Sorry but Bozza is knocking this out of the park. Putting Jezza into a corner of having to make a decision.0
