If people were acting sensibly then yes, there's no way you countenance having a confirmation hearing and a vote now. But with the GOP so desperate to have a soild majority in the SC, who knows what will happen

I wonder if the Dems can deny them a quorum? IIUC a quorum is 51, GOP normally have 53. I guess the Dems would have to send one guy along to do the Quorum Call, if all the rest of them boycott then the GOP can only afford to hospitalize three.

Could Pence come along and make the quorum ?
Apparently not. Lots of detail here, albeit from the rather quaint it-was-a-different-time "Republicans may oppose a Republican power move" perspective, rather than the deadpool angle that's relevant now:
@Andy_JS, I've pm'd you with an answer to your question about today's timeline @Casino_Royale , @rcs1000 et al I've pm'd you with that timeline and my best guess as to the reason for betting markets being suspended when a person is ill @Benpointer I've pm'd you with an answer as the the betfair odds in 2016.
I've just spent a hour or two capturing the odds from oddschecker, but Ladbrokes and Coral arent with oddschecker any more. If anybody captured the odds on Trump, Biden, Pence and/or Kamala on Thursday or Friday please inform me.
Even if Trump makes it through this thing's bound to take out one of the senators or someone from the inner circle, no? This seems like a really bad situation to be going into an election having told your supporters not to sign up for postal votes because the virus isn't a big deal.

More stages though, thought a floor vote was needed. If various senators are having to self isolate due to covid..

Includes the two Republicans with Covid - Lee and Tillis.
If Lee and Tillis can't attend then a vote on Party lines would be 10-10. Would Graham (Republican Chairman) then have casting vote?
Even if he does, it all looks pretty precarious.
