If the polls start moving 60/40 remain or more, suspect it will be very possible to argue that having another referendum (now that the facts are known, especially vs. no deal) is the most democratic option
No one's commenting on it because it doesn't matter. The good bits don't matter, only the bad bits and the naiive assumption that things could be better very quickly.
But the bad bits are so bad as to make it unacceptable.
If I had negotiated a deal for two years that was utterly vital for the company's future, that included clauses I knew full well that the Board could never accept, I would not expect to be in employment.
If the deal is vital for the comany's future, then it follows that if the Board rejects it the company has no future.
It follows I have no future with the company. Somebody else has to get the deal.
But there's no time left for anyone else to negotiate it. Yes you might get fired, but the company has to accept the deal you negotiated or go under.

No the company has to get a new deal which the Board can accept.

But the deal is "utterly vital for the company's future". If the board can't accept it and no other deal can be made, then...

At which point does Phillip May put his arm round her shoulders and say "come on love, time to stop"
I do not think you have learnt much about how much your comment will infuriate the ladies
1. I'm from Lancashire. Everyone is love 2. Were it the other way round it would have been Theresa putting her arm round HIS shoulders and saying "come on love".
In a marriage, sometimes its only your better half who can point out the futility of the destructive course of action you have set upon.
I was born in Whitefield but still respect the ladies
Sorry Mr G, as one who is married to a Lancastrian, indeed a Rochdalian, I think Mr P is right, If they were from the North East it would be 'pet'.
"Love" I can cope with, but any man who calls me "pet" will be in hot water!!
iain watson ✔ @iainjwatson I am told PM isnt calling the 5pm press conference because of a confidence vote has been triggered - she will be arguing for her deal

Surely not. It is DOA.
I wouldn't put it past her - she's nothing if not stubborn.

Not yet.
It has not been put to a vote in the HoC - and then MPs will have to climb down from their windy rhetoric and dip their hands in the blood of 'No Deal' or 'Remain'.

She will remain stubborn until the end and the final vote in HoC. Unless she is removed.

That's fine, as I've said there are good reasons to vote against. That doesn't make the assumptions it is easy to redo true.

A timely reminder here of her tin ear would surely improve the chances of that. Though her recent podium speeches have tended to bolster her rather than hurt her

He said the politics of Brexit in Westminster are incredibly divisive and difficult, and British Prime Minister Theresa May must continue to show "the mettle" that she has demonstrated up to now.

Best guess: 'I fight on, I fight to win'.
Er, I mean the company... remains...
If it comes to a fist fight between Huw Edwards and the shouty protesters disrupting the outside broadcast, my money's on Huw.
A PM who showed real mettle in meaning what they say when they say that dividing up the UK is unacceptable is the last thing the Irish want.

Who announced it when it happened under IDS?
It has not been put to a vote in the HoC - and then MPs will have to climb down from their windy rhetoric and dip their hands in the blood of 'No Deal' or 'Remain'.
Just curious.... not a recommendation!
Is what IDS did.
