I feel very Sean T like in mood right now. I've never been so rocked to my core as tonight, and I don't much like it, I am placid and that's the way I prefer it.
Anyone else deeply deeply regret voting for Brexit?!
No, I still want to be an independent self-governing country. No federalist nonsense. We can't blame ourselves for May's ridiculous social care shambles.
We're losing because of hard Brexit in London and house confiscation in middle England. Theresa May is the worst Tory leader I've ever seen, worse even than IDS.
The narrative changed the day the word 'dementia tax' entered the popular mindset. The moment people realised the Tories were coming for what was theirs.
Of course Labour are coming for it too, and more...
My Lib Dem friend in Sheffield Hallam says Clegg's a gonner.
Odd UKIP to Lab swing!
Our campaign completely failed to drag Labour into the same Hard Brexit box as us. Labour became an easy choice for remain voters and even soft Brexit UKIP/Tory Leavers voters.
The campaign was just horrible.
This is all the fault of Brexiters. It was totally avoidable.
Still, at least you're away from it all, eh?
Not really, it was May and her team who ran this shit campaign and who came out with these shit policies, but also who backed hard Brexit to win UKIP votes while others said go for centrist Brexit to win votes in the centre. She and her team take the blame for this failure.
LOL. What a poor attempt to absolve yourself.
You are insulated from this, and you've already pissed off. Some of us are not as lucky.
One thing we've learnt from all this is that some 'Conservative's are not 'conservative'.
"All the fault of the brexiters" is contemptible blame-shifting. The referendum was Remain's to lose, and Remain lost it. I was a lukewarm remainer, because the merits of the case were not as clear to me than as now, but a remainer. I didn't campaign or subscribe to a campaign, and I regret that. But the more self righteous and blowhardish you get against Leave, the more you invite the question why you did nothing to secure a remain vote, but sat and waited for it to fall into your lap.
No. Leave campaigned on several different end-results (a 'lie' as I called it). Now they're reaping the consequences. I was a swing voter, and the hardcore Europhobes chose to insult rather than persuade.
At the end of the 2015GE I was considering joining either the Lib Dems or the Conservatives. In the last year there's been only one choice.
The Conservatives are going down the shitter in places with expensive houses.
Single worst policy I've ever seen announced. I and others called it on the night and we got told to shut up by Mrs May's cheerleaders. I hope they are happy now.
@SamCoatesTimes: George Osborne: "Is there a majority in the Commons for leaving the single market? I don't think so." Wow
Sensible gent.
I don't think there is a majority for leaving the single market in the country. That's become clear tonight.
Because the leave campaigns - supported by you - who has since pissed off abroad - did not give a coherent argument. You gathered the disreputables in your arms.
I was saying con maj 90-100 as a bit of expectations management a mere five hours ago. This is the first time in my life I have seriously thought I might be about to wake up from a bad dream. Just fuck it.
Just as a note. Sinn Fein look like they will wipe out the SDLP, with 2 seats directly. If they stay out of Westminster then its two less to get a mathematical majority. It could be three less by end of night.
When was the last piece of non scottish good news for the Tories? Genuine good news, not increasing majority in a safe seat or barely holding a 10000 majority seat?

+1. Did they trial it anywhere conservative voters gather?

So if Parliament decides to keep us in the EU, or the single market or the customs union, hurrah for a sovereign Parliament.

I'd be in favour of that.

Sadly.
Whose coverage are you all finding the best?
ITV seem to be holding my attention the most...
FPP being absolutely gamed by the millennials who were being traduced all week for being lazy and feckless on here.

Everything has followed has done so because of the ineptitude of Con politicians.
I'd be very careful with backing NOM....
The ends justified the means.
I'm going flail the PBers/Tories that denied the awesomeness of Dave and George.
What is the difference....???
The way things are going be lucky to be largest party.
It's starting to make me look a bit of a prat.
Brexit is fucked.
