Trump might offer the slot to De Santis, but he should turn it down and fight for the GOP nomination

What odds will you give me that Trump offers the slot to DeSantis?

Challion looking at GA early vs in person.

That is much less relevant now - where vote is outstanding matters most now

Time for bed. I predict the GOP will only barely scrape a House majority and fail to win a Senate maj

Perhaps, just perhaps, we have seen Peak Trumpism. 🙏

Republicans need to veer to De Santis

Trump led GA by over 2% with over 90% in.

Oh my - the outstanding vote in PA looks much more in Dem areas.

Betfair Oz 6 (ie 5-1) - looks like Fetterman has it

Walker in the lead in Georgia.

DeSantis likely to massively outperform his Republican peers.

    Hugely.

Quality candidate also looks like a big factor as well.

You are right about PA. The only path now to a GOP Senate is GA + NV, given it looks like the Ds have blown the lights out in AZ so far.

Fetterman likely to outperform from here, based on where is still to report...

    But

I don't think it will be enough to get him over 50%. But it will be very close.

AZ is early votes first, so I wouldn't count any chickens yet.

I meant Warnock to outperform from here....

Could there be "shy Democrats" in Arizona? Given all the talk of violence there, I can imagine a few respondents deciding that fibbing to a pollster might be prudent.

Yes, a long way to go.

For Dems to win Senate tonight they will need AZ and NV as likely GA goes to run-off.

Ummm... Wisconsin is beginning to look a little hairy for the Republicans. Johnson is only a smidgen ahead, and the remaining looks more D than R.

NYT had AZ as D but has now put it back as Toss-up

NV looks like it is going to be incredibly tight

It's highly likely no one wins the Senate tonight.

NYT has it lean R, reckons Johnson running ahead of Trump but agree

Actually, I think he will be fine. It looks like there is a large bank of largely R areas to come

If you called this right about the Dems exceeding the rather doomsday predictions (my words) then many congratulations.

And IF they do outperform the pundits then it's another in a long line of recent such examples.

p.s. good morning everyone in the UK

CNN calls NH with only 54% in.

Some polls had it close to neck and neck.

Morning all. The weirdest time in US election night, as small numbers of votes come in, and all the media orgs run to extrapolate from the available data.

Senate looks close, I still think Nevada will be the key state and they haven’t started reporting yet.

One thought I just listened to: what if it ends up being a poor night for the Republicans, and the Trump-endorsed candidates do relatively poorly, compared to say De Santis in Florida, who looks like he’s winning by a mile?
