Or is he just a big coward?
I'm assuming all those Kippers that slagged of Dave et al for reading PPE will criticise Reckless for reading PPE?
Conservative Mark Reckless 23,604 49.2
Labour Teresa Murray 13,651 28.5
Liberal Democrat Geoff Juby 7,800 16.3
English Democrats Ron Sands 2,182 4.5
Green Simon Marchant 734 1.5
Majority 9,953 20.7
"What Reckless of him"
Pity for the Telegraph, they predicted no further defection just hours ago citing senior UKIP figures:

1. For the Sunday papers.
2. To torpedo the Tory conference.
Which means there might be more during the Tory conference.
Britain is over regulated and people are "ripped off and lied to" says Mark Reckless MP as he defected to UKIP
He should be safe for re-election though, I think North Kent was UKIP's most successful area of all in the Euros.
Sean T (conservative) is the first one that springs to mind
UKIP can't get any MPs of their own, so resort to stealing other parties?
It's just a jump to the left.
And then a step to the right.
With your hand on your hips.
You bring your knees in tight.
But it's the pelvic thrust.
They really drive you insane.
Let's do the Time Warp again.
Let's do the Time Warp again.
Terrible news for Ed Miliband, probably :-)
The two parties really do seem to be trying to outdo eachother in attempts to lose.

Good to lead coach for Team2015 campaigning in Birmingham Northfield on Sunday+will be followed by our Clacton action day next Thursday
Makes you worry that other Tory MP may have said things in order to assure the whips while planning otherwise.
Say what you like about Labour but no political Party, none, does "arrogant sense of entitlement" more than the Tories.
Who is Farage bringing on stage next?
Was Reckless one of the ones who'd denied he was about to defect?
----
Was he sober when he said it?

He voted for gay marriage, and against tuition fees for example.
Besides, he also has degrees from the College of Law and Columbia, so it's not like he's only been immersed in one academic environment.
Bloody Everton equalise in injury time, and the traitorous pig dog Reckless defects to UKIP all in the space of 10 mins
Reading up on the guy's Wikipedia page, I admire the fact that when he once drank too before a parliamentary vote, but rather than just go in tanked, he excused himself and apologised publicly for the mistake, despite the obvious political embarrassment that would cause him.

You just have to love a new relationship.
they were right!! hilarious
We know that private polling has been carried out in Kettering testing whether Philip Holobone would hold seat as UKIP candidate

I'm not particularly upset about UKIP. They allow a lot of people who haven't participated in the democratic process in recent decades to express their views, which has to be a good thing.
I think they would be a really terrible government and, best case, they facilitate a crap government and eliminating the most realistic chance to secure democratic legitimacy for (or exit from) the EU. But that's my right.
I'm off out, and will be back around 7.30pm with the ComRes poll.
Labour never smear.
There is no connection between the child abuse scandal in Rotherham and Labour.
Oceania has always been at war with Eastasia...
The big winner from the defections to UKIP is Ed Miliband
Clueless. This is TERRIBLE news for Ed Miliband, somehow. Doesn't this bloke read PB or Dan Hodges?
Paul Waugh @paulwaugh 21h
Tory MPs who voted No: Richard Bacon
John Baron
Gordon Henderson
Adam Holloway
Nigel Mills
Mark Reckless
What happens in practice is just historical convention.
He's very busy sniffing out the next Tory rat to jump ship....
Vote UKIP, get a Miliband government, and no referendum.
There are going to be some very disappointed voters next May.
You remember what you were saying about nothing interesting happening when OGH goez on holiday.
Well, I'll think you're a lying rat-fink ;-)
And members of the Labour Movement have far more "tribal" loyalty than self-serving Tories.
And Labour are on the up, Tories on the down.
Highly unlikely.
