Our country needs strong borders and extreme vetting, NOW. Look what is happening all over Europe and, indeed, the world - a horrible mess!

The policy has been implemented as an instantaneous executive order, and the details haven't been properly worked out, but why is it is wrong per se? If anything, it may be too restricted to be effective - why doesn't it cover all countries in the Levant and Arabia, extending to Pakistan?0 -

The current Leader of the Opposition is half-Taiwanese (born Taiwanese, naturalized Japanese in 1985), and got in a bit of trouble recently when it emerged that she still had Taiwanese citizenship, which is forbidden as Japan doesn't allow dual citizenship. She goes "Renho", which is a foreign derivation-sounding version of her Chinese name that she formerly used when she worked in soft porn [slightly NSFW for soft porn]. She came first in Tokyo in the last elections by quite a decent margin.0 -

No, it's far more than that. Over a thousand people are signing every minute. Frankly, I'm tempted to. It's ludicrous that a full state visit has been offered so early. "Trump’s temporary immigration ban set a mental anchor in your brain that is frankly shocking. It will make his eventual permanent immigration plan (”extreme vetting”) look tame by comparison. The Persuasion Filter says that’s his strategy. Because that’s ALWAYS his strategy. He acts the same way every time. He wrote a book about it. He talks about it publicly. Then he does it right in front of us, over and over. And no matter how many times he does it, half the country still thinks the opening offer is the real one.
I’ve mentioned in this blog a few times that persuasion works even when the subject of the persuasion recognizes all the techniques as they happen. This is a perfect case. The left has been watching Trump make big offers and dial them back for the past year. And yet they still think this time it will be different. The Persuasion Filter says that 70-year old Trump will act the same way today as he has for the past several decades: Big first offer, then negotiate.

You actively want conflict. And before you start creating self-serving excuses again, just remember that the very people you seem to hate make exactly the same arguments you do.
E.g. on a middle-eastern beach: "But when I saw the creepy sight of a woman in a bikini I felt like ridiculing it."
You and the Muslim extremists are more alike than you'd like to admit. Any excuse for hate.0 -
Of course I don't want conflict. But when you import masses of people with a completely different worldview to the county they arrive in, conflict is unavoidable.JosiasJessop said:

Crucial difference being white women are not generally forced to wear mini skirts whenever out in public by their husbands (who hold a disproportionate amount of influence over them, backed by their strict religious community)JosiasJessop said:

You can think whatever you like and make incorrect predictions of how I would feel or act, what can I do about that? This whole nonsense started on an incorrect remark from you, as I have no problem with Asian people, I have several Asian friends, and would not wolf whistle sarcastically at an Asian woman who wasn't wearing a burqa, or a woman on her own who was wearing one. I would not be friends with someone whose wife wore a burqa, and the wolf whistle was to annoy the man who is comfortable with his wife wearing one
None of that is racist
I doubt I would get beaten up0 -
The law might (and I think will) disagree with you on that point.
Besides, it all started when you tried to be a braggart with your sick prejudices and hatred.
You had absolutely no idea about their situation, or what was happening. All you did was spread a little more hatred in the world. Well done!0 -
