I think Pidcock losing might be a blessing for Labour in the same way that Benn losing Bristol E was in 83. Means there is no clear Corbynite heir apparent now.
I think it was the foolishness of the "revoke" policy. If the LDs had gone on "Bollocks to Brexit but it must be via a referendum on Deal vs Revoke" then they would have kept soft Tories on side.
The whole bollocks to Brexit slogan undermined their attempt to be the adult in the room.
No, it was ruling out working with Labour to force revocation and a snap election.
I don't think so. Ed Davey is deputy so gets the post for now. Lets see how things go over the next months before deciding. There is no hurry and Davey is a strong performer.
Pity, I quite liked Jo, but she was a bit too inexperienced. Good speech, and right that many on both sides of the border are fearful.
Question to LibDem members who had a vote - think what tonight could have been HAD YOU VOTED FOR ED DAVEY
Ed Davey would have run a more sensible, defensive campaign. It would have been far less about the personality of Ms Swinson, and it would have avoided the foolishness of the Revoke policy. (Which gained them exactly no votes, and lost them a bunch.)
But he would still have been squeezed. The LDs would have gotten 15% rather than 11-12%, and would have got 18 seats rather than 12-13.

To be honest, it had to be Jo last time. I hate this fact but the Lib Dems had to vote for a female leader. Now it's been done (and Labour will have the same issue by the way) the next leader can be voted for on their merits and not just because of their gender.
Tories worked it hard, Labour didn't work it at all from what I can work out. They have a distinct councillor in my village and he never tried to canvass it.

Exit poll forecast said too close to call, leaning Tory.
Hope for other Tory holds then?
And hair.
Forecast +47 looks low
Though lots of Scotland to come

Opinium might win the award of best pollster of the election.
Mori, Deltapoll, Survation and Kantar were also very very close.
