CNN says Clinton projected to win Illinois, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Maryland, Rhode Island, Delaware and DC.
Trump projected to win Oklahoma, Tennessee and Mississippi
Florida and Pennsylvania and New Hampshire too close to call

Florida and NH Clinton slightly ahead on exit poll and, in both cases, it's the female vote that makes the difference. Poetic justice.

Can I just say something....that fucking piece of shit Trump, that scumbag turd...He should offend all of us....he didn't deserve to be given that kind of platform, stupid, silly man.....I despise him.

I bet his missus scarpers soon enough....and his kids disown him. He is a gross sack of shit. He has shamed one of the great political parties and all those people that have spent their lives working for that party....

    That's made me feel better.....

    Now back to betting....

Question - why do CNN not report their exit polls (at least the numbers) in their TV coverage? Is it just to maintain the suspense and keep people watching?

    CNN analysis is great.

It's superb. No need to flick to any other channel.

In Britain the rural areas are always last; in the US they seem to have overcome this, I guess because they are smaller?

I believe they count in situ not centrally which speeds things up
That's correct. The precinct officials read the results off the machines and phone them in. None of these results we get on the night are officially certified. It's not like the UK where the result isn't revealed until the returning officer declares the official, certified result.

  • Down to 50k vote lead in Florida. Could still be close as most of the outstanding votes in the Panhandle

Well, the 538 model is remaining cautious. Taking into account calls so far, it's giving Clinton a 78% chance of victory.

I wonder whether any Tramp Rumpers would venture to identify a path to 270 for him?

I am actually missing having the political commentators a little on the CNN feed vs a British election coverage. The analysis is great but it feels very disconnected from the process of electing politicians.
  • Down to 16k in Florida
  • Trump leads in Florida. I put £5 on at 4-1, 5 mins ago. Could be good.
