More important, a large number of Labour members are based in London and Khan is very popular among them. This intervention could sway a few soft Corbynites and a lot of undecideds.
Suspect that he knows Smith will lose but he sets himself up as the biggest beast among his opponents . Bet he runs for parliament in 2020
Watched my first athletics live in these Olympics and it was great viewing. However I find it surprising that at no point in the last night of competition did the BBC mention the fact that the stadium is half empty!!!!
