I thought 1992 was good, I thought 2015 was spellbinding, 1997 was just YUCK at the time. This is just EPIC in so many ways. The greatest political night of my life!
I think you are an insane conspiracy theorist but I don't care on this joyous night. Enjoy!
If somebody told me there was some kind of EU mind control virus running rampant in the BBC, I'd believe them. They just can't believe that people don't care for the EU.
Another place, I wonder if Dave had called this 2-3 weeks ago when all the students were still there.
Those students will be back at home voting though won't they? Not FPTP so every vote counts.
Perhaps....but it is much easier to whip them up and get them to the polling station if they are all in one place. Many could well be now either lazying in bed, off in Zante (or some other shit hole) or stuck in a muddy field waiting for music to start.

Any chance of getting Farage on an aircraft carrier with a Mission Accomplished banner?
Trump Force One?
He's going to have a field day back home...
"Here's the story, folks. Our special ally has had enough. They saw the danger, and did the right thing. Look at the poster. This is what they were facing... Crooked, Lyin', Low-down Clinton wishes this on you! On us!"
Consider Leave was at 8 this morning (last morning).
I cashed out pretty much on evens. I'd rather make some money selling some drugs or pimping out some kids rather than on the horrible racism that stoked Brexit that will lead to a decade of poverty.

You have to feel for them...they have probably only just about got over that Tory victory. I think it sent a load to require counselling.
The slightly worrying thing is that the Govt. has apparently done no planning for this outcome. Which I'm hoping is as much bollocks as was said by the Govt. during this campaign.
No, no there will be an emergency budget within the next couple of weeks. Who can doubt it?
LOL. Osborne will be packing his bags now, he will be out before the markets open tomorrow.
Remain 40-45 band at 15/1. Might be some value. Leave lead by 9% in England and all but a handful of nearly 200 areas to declare are English. Suspect we're heading for Leave by about 7% rather than 10% though.
Can't wait to see the shock on my Facebook feed of all those who were for remain. I've remained disciplined and haven't got involved. I think the silence speaks volumes!
Feeling a bit sad for my parents who are both strong Remain supporters.
Despite voting Leave, I was more anxious about the consequence of a Leave vote than a Remain one - and what it says about the country. All of us involved in politics need to spend far more time listening to people, and far less time shouting at them.
My view of 'Leave' was always that the potential upside for the country was higher, but the potential downside was also lower - we need to work really hard to make sure that we can have a more united, less divided nation which can work together and move forward with optimism rather than revert to populist division. That means those of us on the Leave side being open and generous to the likes of @TSE and @AlistairMeeks and including them in the conversation if they are able and willing to be a part of it.
Whatever - it appears to be an exciting time to be involved in politics...
Sky talking about Cameron perhaps resigning tomorrow
I was a big supporter of Cameron back in the day and I'm sorry it's come to this... But he should have got a serious deal with his renegotiation and the way he has threatened the very people that gave him his job has just been terrible...
And no more "Save the World" numpties in parliament.
Yes. The Foriegn Aid budget will be next.
Cutting the foreign aid budget whilst trying to fight to retain our global influence might not be the wisest move. We'll need to get our flag on a lot more schools, hospitals, and village toilet blocks.
Is that tongue in cheek?
What we've done by leaving the EU will influence the world far more than all the aid we've given in 50 years.
The toilet blocks perhaps (although they're a common use of foreign aid money in these parts). Perhaps metro systems or airports would be better - we'd have to redefine foreign aid though to include "loans" that never really get paid back.
Anecdote - here in Vietnam, Japan, Korea, the US, China, Russia, France, Germany and Australia *at least* all come above us in the list of influencers. The only reason we might just scrape the top 10 is because we're in the EU. The government think we are crazy, and they don't like crazy people.
We'd have to bump our foreign aid budget up to compensate, target it in a way that's focussed on trade and not on helping people, and double the size of our diplomatic service.
Leaving will influence the world - but not in a way we can control.
The biggest ever vote in British history was the 17.39m for Remain in the 1975 referendum. It would be ironic if this ended up being beaten by the vote today. For that matter, it'd be ironic in a different way if it wasn't.

What should happen is that other aspects of foreign policy also come up for discussion - such as the relationship with the US and membership of NATO. Very unlikely to happen, though.

Never heard of the place but well done..!
Actually, now that its met its aim, I'd rather hoped that it'd disappear.

My bold tip, we're going to get either a general election or another EU related referendum within 12 months, or possibly both
Mr Crosby 5 hours behind the times.
The Times two weeks behind the times.
Adam Boulton having great trouble holding it all together!
