There's a big RAF base there; can't believe they'll have voted yes. Polls are closed!
No, that's Kinloss, on the Moray firth. Now a barracks, not an RAF base by the way.
So many clueless wonders around here. It beggars belief sometimes.

I hope they don't go, they would have staggering levels of unemployment and no help from anyone. How can they not know?

That could happen in the short-, mediuam- and long-term, if the Scottish leadership after any Yes vote is criminally stupid.

To be honest, I can't see much difference for either side economically in thirty years time wrt relative GDP per capita. Scotland will have been absorbed into the EU after a long and withering process, and the UK will sail merrily along, probably outside the EU. Scotland will undergo a painful readjustment; if they are sensible they will use oil money to reduce the pain and make the country more attractive to the high-tech industries that they already excel at.

But I've no doubt there will be pain for Scotland in the short term if Yes win. If only when the good people of Scotland realise that Salmond's sold them a load of smoke and mirrors.

If there is a No, and especially a close No, there will be violence in the mid-term. Expect a bunch of @shhats like the SNLA / DHC to arise, although hopefully they will be just as incompetent as those idiots.
