Just looked up King John on wikipedia. Apparently it was strongly suspected he was an atheist. Always find it interesting when historical figures like that were atheists. I'm an atheist, but being an atheist in the 21st century requires no particular courage or originality of thinking; it's broadly the norm. More courage needed to openly profess your faith as a Christian. But a different matter in the 13th century.

Now this seems pretty bad to me -- they've just had a big summer holiday pause while they sorted out a new PM. There must be a lot of stuff backlogged, and delaying it further can't be ideal.
