There is a lot of confusion atm. The key is to go firm at any particular point and then work inwards or outwards from there. It IS Islamist. That in no way denigrates peaceful followers of Islam, which we know are the vast majority of practitioners in this country. But it is absolutely true that there is an extremist strain of this religion. That is beyond doubt, but it is not a smear on the wider Muslim community.
