Macron also says delinquency is becoming "intolerable" and promises police who "know the terrain" and spend more time out and about.

Maybe after Macron has been president of France for a few years he can come here and lead the Labour party. Like a political Wenger lol0

Yeah, but Tim Farron is like Ed Miliband squared, with less intellect. And "Brexit is bad", while true, is not a viable policy.kle4 said:
I should think every tiny addition to their national percentage will at least encourage them onwards, even though chances of winning many seats remains poor. Agreed. I meant his couching it in terms of an "ism" rather than saying the enemy is Daesh and Al Qaeda and not the Syrian government.foxinsoxuk said:
Not really, some were advocating bombing the government, not the jihadis, including our government.Cyan said:"On Syria, our priority must be the fight against terrorist jihadism" (Macron) is such a banality.

I think Farron is honest, almost to the point of fault.0 -
Farron pointed out how far the debate has moved. He was/is on the more eurosceptic side of the Liberal Democrats in that unlike say, Paddy Ashdown or much of the Lib Dem membership he wasn't in favour of Britain marching towards ever closer union, joining the EU. He resigned as a spokesperson in protest at the lack of a referendum on the Lisbon treaty. That's pretty in keeping with the kind of Lib Dem he is - a part of the more rural independent bit of the party rather than the studenty metropolitan ranch. He's now become some sort of remain ultra merely by standing still while the Tories (relatively successfully) and Labour contort (unsuccessfully) contort themselves to do things they don't believe are good for the country in the name of the referendum result.initforthemoney said:
