Long-time lurker here. Just finally set up an account to appeal to everyone to tone it down with the invective. I used to enjoy reading the comments under these articles, but it's just bile recently. This place used to be a cut above cesspools like Twitter, but not now. Sort yourselves out.
Yes, I can only apologize on behalf of everyone else. I do try to keep the tone where it ought to be - VERY CLASSY - but it's futile at times.
Most grateful to Mr/Ms/Mx kinabalu for apologising on my behalf.
... lights are gonna find me, shining like the sun, smiling having fun, feeling like a number one...
Well, we've found one imperfection. You were not exactly björn to pun.
It wasn't my Fältskog...
That's even worse. Admittedly you will have to make money, money, money efforts to out-pun me over Abba, and the winner takes it all.
Indeed. I tried to hold you back but you were stronger, and now it seems my only chance is giving up the fight. For I have met my destiny in quite a similar way.

I don't know, but I think you have met your Waterloo.
More than an apology is needed. Real action to help those being persecuted in countries where we can and do have influence is needed. We could, for instance, offer asylum to persecuted Syrian Christians. To date I believe we have offered asylum to precisely zero such people.

It is quite shameful.

Not sure how you can see vox pops from Brexit supporters and not disbelieve the anecdote.
