The same Edinburgh which when it came to the crunch in 2014 voted 61% to 39% to stay in a union with England rather than endorse Scotland making its own way in the world as an independent country?

According to the BBC England have had two shots on target.

I assume the penalty was one of them.

Hubris from Southgate taking Kane off, obviously looking ahead to the next game. Sterling for someone else would have been the move if he was solely focussing on shoring up.
    Huh?

I don't think Kane can safely be subbed off in knock-out games unless England are 3-0 up....

Nah. No one outside Parliament and PB will ever notice. And given that 90% of Scotland are currently backing Columbia and they are the only constituency the SNP need to worry about I suspect it will do them no harm at all.

Bringing on a defensive midfielder to defend a 1-0 lead is pretty conventional. Plus Alli is carrying a knock.

At least with Glasgow you can say they did vote for independence, most of the rest of Scotland can wish for us to lose all they like but at the end of the day they did not have the guts to go their own way and preferred the security of the UK.

I suppose you could also say whatever you think of Brexit at least England and Wales had the guts to vote to try and be independent of the EU (perhaps some connection therefore to the fact the only 2 home nations to get to and progress in the last two major international football competition finals are England and Wales)

Scottish Independence or Scotland qualifying for a major tournament.

Scotland have never qualified for a major tournament since Holyrood opened.

I did not think Brexit was in the best interests of the UK overall though I respect the result and I have not been cheering when nations from the EU have been knocked out of the World Cup either unlike certain indyref No voting Scots when England have conceded a goal
