When you receive a public endorsement from a universally hated figure you are bound to lose votes, even Blair knows it, that is why he is out publicly in his endorsement in order to cost Labour the GE, it's one of his old tricks.

Now, it's due *from* Monday 13th April. Less than 4 weeks before polling day, and when some people will already have started receiving their ballot papers.
I don't doubt the Tories will pull ahead on votes on the day, but they've totally failed to win the values and brand argument with Labour. That will cost us all very, very heavily.
In no way do I sense David Cameron has given any answer to the perennial problem that Labour are seen as the party of fairness (even though what I think of Labour and what they've done to this country probably can't be written here) and the Tories as repellent.
He just hasn't gone out there and grappled with that argument. He hasn't taken to the airwaves. Debated, argued and pushed for the alternative point of view. Fought for what he believes in.
In fact, he's gone along with it to an extent by denigrating his own activist base and membership. He's been more interested in apologising for Conservative beliefs and policies, either directly or indirectly through triangulation, than defending them.
It's hardly surprisingly the electorate have concluded he's right. In the end, he just won't get enough votes. The very fact we're arguing about a smidgen of a percentage point here and there, just to eek out another four to five extra seats, to try and get that photo-finish just before Labour do, proves that.0 -

People with plenty of money go away. People with some money go out. People with no money, stay home.
It isn't political in the slightest. It's economics.
If you do research and you want working people. try nights (avoid fridays) and weekends (especially Sunday evenings). If you want the retired and unemployed, try days - but avoid mornings, especially Mondays (pension day)

Labour does not have any solutions to the ills of the NHS, just a mysterious 8 000 Gps appearing out of thin air funded by a mansion tax.
But you do not seem to want investment in primary care...
At least the LDs are honest in wanting to raise taxes to fund the shortfall in NHS funding. Labourites just point at the shortfall without advocating any solution. They either do not have a solution, or are lying about how they will raise taxes.
The NHS will not be preserved by Labour activists who consistently rubbish the NHS and its hard working staff.

I know it would make a good partisan point to pretend he will but it's pretty hard to see what could be done retrospectively.
As with most things he'll do what's easy. I would think a straightforward limit on how much you can have in ISAs - probably set at either £50k or £100k. But anything already in an ISA remains in an ISA.
I think that's what has happened when the maximum pension fund limit has been reduced - they haven't gone back and "de-pensioned" anything.0 -

It's passing strange that one of the biggest topics on a debate about an election in four weeks' time is what a party may have in their manifesto for another election next year. A lot of the campaign has been about devolved issues, too - particularly the NHS. I saw a documentary on Scorcese, and he referenced Peeping Tom on a number of occasions. I watched Bird (Eastwood's Charlie Parker biopic), last night, and found it sublime. Eastwood's filmmaking is as good as Leans, Ford et al. Eastwood really stands out as one of the greats of American directing. In no way do I sense David Cameron has given any answer to the perennial problem that Labour are seen as the party of fairness (even though what I think of Labour and what they've done to this country probably can't be written here) and the Tories as repellent.
He just hasn't gone out there and grappled with that argument. He hasn't taken to the airwaves. Debated, argued and pushed for the alternative point of view. Fought for what he believes in.
In fact, he's gone along with it to an extent by denigrating his own activist base and membership. He's been more interested in apologising for Conservative beliefs and policies, either directly or indirectly through triangulation, than defending them.
It's hardly surprisingly the electorate have concluded he's right. In the end, he just won't get enough votes. The very fact we're arguing about a smidgen of a percentage point here and there, just to eek out another four to five extra seats, to try and get that photo-finish just before Labour do, proves that.

Anecdotally, we did a deep Tory ward today, and were startled by the lack of enthusiasm of the Tory vote - not many Con->Lab or Lab->Con switchers, but numerous 2010 Tory voters saying they really weren't sure if they'd vote this time, or who for. As one said, "It's not clear to me that Mr Cameron wants to take us anywhere in particular - I feel we're just marking time. I'm not yet convinced by Miliband but he does seem to have more drive than our chap, perhaps he deserves a shot at it."0
