Only Russian trolls would try and push this nonsense.
Biden set the debate. He wanted the early debate. It was all about showing he was full of vim and vigour and ready to hard campaign for four more years. And then...
He’s said he’ll address the country later this week.
He’s had Covid.
Thanks to latest Kremlin-bot "Clayton" for confirming that Putin is freaking out as much as his MAGA understudy re: Kamala Harris.
AND is behind much of the bilge currently being pumped re: this topic.
How can French ingredients be so good but the national cuisine now so dismal?
It is abject
Job done
He might be right that this is a dangerous time if China are feeling Irredentist. Not convinced they actually want the ballache though.
Look, you need to get off your high horse about TSE. If you don't enjoy his thread headers then don't bother reading them and just post comments.
But getting yourself into a personal drama with Mike's second in command isn't going to end well, so it's up to you.
If people don't like my views or what I have to say they are welcome to skip over my comments as I do of others.
Dear Russian trolls if you want to avoid the ban hammer do not use IP addresses flagged as known spammers/troll farms.
Vanilla does its magic.
Awful if he had a mishap like that nice Mr Epstein tho
You have genuinely interesting views and a good brain, it would be shame if you quit over a misunderstanding
Although I suppose it could be @Leon travelling in the further reaches of eastern Europe and issuing forth another sockpuppet as he wants us to think he is in France.
She is Indian inasmuch as she is any “ethnicity”. From South Asia. With some African ancestry on one side
Does “black” now mean ANYONE “non white”? What is that anyway? Roma? Southern Spanish? Jewish? Inuit? Dusky Celtic types? Greeks? Arabs? Armenians?
Or is it a kind of one drop of blood rule, but now reversed?
The whole thing is a decadent mess of chaotic thinking and horrible emblematic of objective western decline
They probably don’t know about the Helium 3 thing.
Putin genuinely thought the war would be over within days and that he'd be welcomed and then Biden had his visit.
It was pretty humiliating for Putin when the American Defence Secretary informed his Russian counterpart a few hours before Biden's visit that any attacks near Biden would result in sub-optimal result for Russia.
Generally in the UK it seems to mean "non white" (unlike South Africa where it means 100% black African origin and affects all sorts of quotas)
Stop being melodramatic and just post.
It’s a weird inversion of racist slaving or fascist societies obsessed with the idea that one drop of black or Jewish blood is enough to taint you, except now it canonises you
"The final four nominees will appear in front of the Conservative Party conference in October to put forward their pitch to become leader, before the decision goes to a postal vote of members."
This is highly confusing. Are members really voting on the final four?
Or do MPs get it down to two after the Conference and then members choose from final two?

Whatever happened in 2005 is how it will work this time, IMO.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One-drop_rule
The one-drop rule was a legal principle of racial classification that was prominent in the 20th-century United States. It asserted that any person with even one ancestor of black ancestry ("one drop" of "black blood") is considered black (Negro or colored in historical terms). . . .
The poet Langston Hughes wrote in his 1940 memoir:
You see, unfortunately, I am not black. There are lots of different kinds of blood in our family. But here in the United States, the word 'Negro' is used to mean anyone who has any Negro blood at all in his veins. In Africa, the word is more pure. It means all Negro, therefore black. I am brown.
. . . [For example] In 1865, Florida passed an act that both outlawed miscegenation and defined the amount of black ancestry needed to be legally defined as a "person of color". The act stated that "every person who shall have one-eighth or more of negro blood shall be deemed and held to be a person of color."
SSI - Note the chief objection to legal imposition of "one-drop" rule was concern that it could be applied to PLENTY of people who were regarded as "White" in polite (and even impolite) society.
However, even when not enshrined in law, the notion that ANY amount of African American heritage was TOO much, was well-established in America on both sides of the Mason-Dixon Line during 17th, 18th, 19th and early-20th centuries.

Mind you, if Aphartheid had lasted long enough to end up with compulsory DNA tests, there would have been a lot of very annoyed Boers having to up sticks and move house.

Where is he?
Have they ever been seen in a room together?
Imagine the damage it would do to her campaign if people thought she had worked for the BBC?
Went by physical appearance AND known parentage and ancestry. Enabling many with the "taint" of Black blood to "pass" as White. Very similar to South Africa.
FEAR of finding out what they did NOT want to know, was what kept Southern legislatures from enacting "one-drop rule" into law, that is until the apex of post-Civil War racism around turn of 19th>20th century.
There's a bit of faux naiveté in the air. If you are someone a drunk redneck would call a n word it seems to me you have the right to identify as black till the last redneck goes extinct.

"Crooked Joe Biden was not fit to run for President, and is certainly not fit to serve - And never was! He only attained the position of President by lies, Fake News, and not leaving his Basement. All those around him, including his Doctor and the Media, knew that he wasn’t capable of being President, and he wasn’t - And now, look what he’s done to our Country, with millions of people coming across our Border, totally unchecked and unvetted, many from prisons, mental institutions, and record numbers of terrorists. We will suffer greatly because of his presidency, but we will remedy the damage he has done very quickly. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"
Such optimism, such positivity. Compare it to Biden's own words:
"Over the past three and a half years, we have made great progress as a Nation.
"Today, America has the strongest economy in the world. We’ve made historic investments in rebuilding our Nation, in lowering prescription drug costs for seniors, and in expanding affordable health care to a record number of Americans. We’ve provided critically needed care to a million veterans exposed to toxic substances. Passed the first gun safety law in 30 years. Appointed the first African American woman to the Supreme Court. And passed the most important climate legislation in the history of the world. America has never been better positioned to lead than we are today."
No self-confidence there, just downbeat all the way.

At one time (and perhaps unto present day) there were African American social clubs and social circles, where the "paper bag test" was a qualification for memship.
Meaning that your complexion needed to be lighter than a paper bag.
My point is, discrimination against people with arguably way LESS African American heritage than Kamala Harris, was and is still a thing in the United States.
A candidate needs 10 MPs to get nominated - which seems reasonable.
It's not that there will be 10 candidates!!!
