Multiple intel sources: Baltimore bridge collapse was an “absolutely brilliant strategic attack” on US critical infrastructure - most likely cyber - & our intel agencies know it. In information warfare terms, they just divided the US along the Mason Dixon line exactly like the Civil War.
Second busiest strategic roadway in the nation for hazardous material now down for 4-5 years - which is how long they say it will take to recover. Make no mistake: this was an extraordinary attack in terms of planning, timing & execution.
The two critical components on that bridge are the two load-bearing pylons on each end, closest to the shore. They are bigger, thicker and deeper than anything else. These are the anchor points and they knew that hitting either one one of them would be a fatal wound to the integrity of the bridge.
Half a mile of bridge went in the river - likely you will have to build a new one. Also caused so much damage to the structural integrity of the bottom concrete part that you cannot see & won’t know until they take the wreckage apart. Structural destruction likely absolute.

As it was written on an impeccable source (politicalbetting) it must be correct!
Or alternatively: a ship lost control due to power failure and went into a bridge that was insufficiently protected. Accidents happen.
Also, there is some oddness in the descriptions of the civil engineering of the bridge... anchor points, for instance, is a phrase commonly used in suspension or cable-stat bridges, not truss bridges.
For this to be deliberate, there would have to be a conspiracy between the two pilots on board (usually local people), and some of the bridge crew on the ship (probably foreign). They would have had to have faked a power outage at the correct point, and ensured that the current and drift speed would take it into the bridge pier and not any of the other items in the water, such as what appear to be the bases of power pylons (*).
Alternatively, a ship had power issues at a very critical moment, when there was little time or room to manoeuvre. This happens a lot; most of the time the ships have plenty of time to fix the issues. One or two ships *sink* each week at sea.
See why the latter is much more probable (though less exciting) than the former?
(*) Which appear to be *much* better protected than the bridge piers...

President Barack Obama was caught on camera on Monday assuring outgoing Russian President Dmitry Medvedev that he will have "more flexibility" to deal with contentious issues like missile defense after the U.S. presidential election.
Obama, during talks in Seoul, urged Moscow to give him "space" until after the November ballot, and Medvedev said he would relay the message to incoming Russian president Vladimir Putin.
The failed approach of trying to use sanctions to influence Putin's decisions is a legacy of Obama and Merkel's foreign policy. Trump is just being used as an old-fashioned scapegoat.0 -

The Cyberattack 'theory' is really, really stoopid. With an elongated 'ooooo'. The ship had just done a 180-degree turn from its dock with tugboats; to get it to hit the bridge you would need to cut the power at just the right moment. even then, an alert crew *might* have done something to prevent it. A few degrees in the rudder and it would hit somewhere else. AIS is laggy and not accurate enough.Trent said:

If you want to cause a disaster, there're much better ways.
Then there's the timing: early in the morning is when the bridge is quietest.
Edit: And Baltimore Port is important because it is busy. And as it is busy, it gets more ships in. Which makes it more likely for a ship to have an incident there.0 -

Second busiest strategic roadway in the nation for hazardous material now down for 4-5 years - which is how long they say it will take to recover. Bridge was built specifically to move hazardous material - fuel, diesel, propane gas, nitrogen, highly flammable materials, chemicals and oversized cargo that cannot fit in the tunnels - that supply chain now crippled.

Meanwhile, LDs have been running both Vale and South Oxfordshire since 2019 and even took Didcot Town Council for the first time ever last year.
Yet apparently, according to the Labour leaflet, we’re dishonest in claiming we could win and they are apparently the clear challengers to the Tories.
Okayyyy….
Good betting opportunity, though, as constituency markets open up. When an MRP for a constituency smells wrong, it almost certainly is wrong and there is an opportunity.1 -

By blocking the walkway, the aliens hope to stop the Illuminati from meeting and developing Elon Musk's new Infinite Improbability Drive that will be a step-change over the aliens' own technology.Trent said:The situation with the baltimore bridge is interesting and giving rise to all sorts of conspiracy theories. I have seen this on X.
Bridge was built specifically to move hazardous material - fuel, diesel, propane gas, nitrogen, highly flammable materials, chemicals and oversized cargo that cannot fit in the tunnels - that supply chain now crippled.
Attack perfectly targeted.

We KNOW that the Chinese are attacking American infrastructure. Including “manufacturing” and “transport”. These are not fever dreams, it is the case

“We will kick the round eyes in goolies.
By cutting off the flow of containers into America! So our exports to them will collapse.
And just as America is re-shoring massive amounts of manufacturing and considering the vulnerability of global supply lines.
Muha ha ha!”
So what are they attacking? Boeing looks like a pretty good target to me. A company already in trouble, in a manufacturing arena where China s desperate to muscle in, and compete with or even replace the Airbus/Boeing duopoly

AP (via Seattle Times) - Trump is selling ‘God Bless the USA’ Bibles for $59.99 as he faces mounting legal bills
Former President Donald Trump is now selling Bibles as he runs to return to the White House.
Trump, who became the presumptive Republican nominee earlier this month, released a video on his Truth Social platform on Tuesday urging his supporters to buy the “God Bless the USA Bible,” which is inspired by country singer Lee Greenwood’s patriotic ballad. Trump takes the stage to the song at each of his rallies and has appeared with Greenwood at events.
“Happy Holy Week! Let’s Make America Pray Again. As we lead into Good Friday and Easter, I encourage you to get a copy of the God Bless the USA Bible,” Trump wrote, directing his supporters to a website selling the book for $59.99. . . .0 -
