After the way we treated Ireland over the last few centuries we're lucky to get owt of them.
If historical treatment were a factor in eurovision voting then blocs of countries next to each other would never give each other votes, but they usually do.
Politics aside, while I get an event like Eurovision is a big platform for any 'activist' invasion, being an event that is supposed to be cheesy fun, there have to be other events more suited to such an invasion which are still easy to disrupt.

I've not actually been watching - I cannot sit through the truly terrible songs, so wait for the repeat to zip to the good ones and the hilariously bad ones - but were there actually a number of good ones, and are they doing well?

I did tip Israel as the winner the other day (as well as Estonia)
I don't think you get points for it if you top more than 1. Next someone will say they tipped Israel as the winner (as well as Estonia, and Austria). And so on and so on.

My problem with Eurovision is this: the songs from Finland and Israel are crap, and very camp. Cyprus is only marginally better, and way too short. So I don't want to back any of them. But they are also very Eurovision. So I am probably wrong.
Songs I think are actually good: Finland, Bulgaria, Norway and Australia. And the UK isn't awful.
Germany and France aren't bad either. But I don't think the German one is distinctive enough, and the French sign in French, which doesn't help them much.
Signing is an innovative approach to a music contest

Irish have got very unreliable in recent years...
Go Italia!
Apparently Hawaiian pizzas are served in hell.
Brilliant show.
No wonder they react so strongly to a Corbynista invading the stage.
