Yes, I disapprove of Trump as much as anyone, but if a British leader's son was told that a foreigner had damaging info about another party, I can imagine some sons saying oh cool, tell me more, without necessarily telling dad. He sounds immature, but that's not unexpected - treasonous, not so much.
No one makes a five figure profit from a show at the Fringe. Its almost always a loss maker for the comedians who want exposure over money.
Ah, but this is being "produced" by his "close pal", who knows how to make money.
£22.50 a ticket apparently
In this case, it will be the cult who will be buying the tickets. Surprising, that with 5 or 6 pensions, he still had to crowdfund his election expenses. Doesn't look like the ponies have been passing the winning post in front of the others.
That sort of debt is okay for a STEM degree or a Russell Group university, but someone needs to be telling the kids that a vocational route is often going to be better, even for white collar jobs like law, accountancy and IT.
The woman in that article is 25 and yet she still doesn't earn £21,000.
In other words that degree is pretty much worthless - she's lost four years earnings capacity and acquired huge debts for feck all.
It wouldn't surprise if some lawyers were looking into the possibilities of mis-selling cases against universities.
I have always maintained that the whole system of student loans is a disgrace. The only part that was more disgraceful was those in the cabinet who got a free Uni education pulling up the ladder behind them and telling us all how wonderful it would be.
I don't object to student loans, but I do object to students being sold a pig in a poke.
Martin Lewis (independent financial expert) says student loans are better value than mortgages - unless you know you are going to be earning £100,000 plus for very many years.
This is because most students will never pay off all the accumulated capital/interest.
So he says don't take out a mortgage to pay off the student debt.
How can they? 6% interest on £50K is £3K per year or £250 per month. What sort of excess over £21K do you need to earn to pay back £250 per month and that is just to stop the interest from piling up? Compound interest at 6% over 30 years grows £50K to £287K so they need to pay back £10K per year or £800 per month.
No mortgages for ex-students. Declaring bankruptcy looks to be a good way forward.

The amount of interest depends on how much you earn. You have to be on £41,000 for RPI+3 (which is a bit lower than 6% now). Agree RPI+3 is ridiculous though, it's almost as if they were designed never to be repaid unless you were earning the big bucks (almost like a stealth graduate tax). They could have at least made the repayments go to the principal first.

He's not facing treason charges - but there is a prima facie case he broke federal campaign finance laws. You can end up with a life sentence for stealing a pizza in the US. I see no reason to give Trump Jr preferential treatment.
"It's a pretty shocking sequence, but then you look at February: five acid attacks, all within a small radius around east London and Essex – a zone which appears to be the epicentre of acid attacks in Britain. There was the attack on a tube train in Barking, at an amateur football game and then a secondary school in Dagenham. Plus two carjackings in Essex, including that of former boxer Michael Watson in Chingford. In November of 2016 a British-Pakistani businessmen had acid squirted in his face from a Lucozade bottle in a racist attack by a gang of 14 teenagers in Dagenham."
Though that article also says: "The rise in the capital is mirrored nationally, with growing numbers of people being treated for acid attacks in hospital and in incidents reported to police across the UK."
We seem unusual in that such attacks are male on male and gang related, while worldwide it is usually male attacks on women.

Well I've really had enough of pinnicity arguments on here, they really are so futile. Let's just agree that these acid attacks are on the rise and are a bad thing. If Tamim Iqbals family were victims of one it could well be because of their religion as with the attack last month in Beckton. Let's hope not
Having seen the results of battery acid being thrown in someone's face, blinding the young lady, while her skin "melted". Even after extensive and painful plastic surgery to reconstruct nose, eyelids, mouth and ears, she couldn't go out in daylight uncovered in case the sun damaged her new skin. Her hands were also badly burned as she tried to brush the acid from her face and eyes.
The SOB who threw the acid was in prison, for I think 10 years, she is in a personal prison for the rest of her life...

I was just wondering how long the Beckton attacker would get. I guessed 10 years, but if it is more so be it. He has ruined two peoples lives, maybe 20 years inside would be equivalent.. maybe even that's not enough
One of the nice things about living in Japan is that you can pay taxes to your local government without worrying your money is going to be used hiring helicopters to find new, creative ways to make people homeless.

Australian human rights lawyer Jennifer Robinson, 36, was photographed cosying up to Seumas Milne, 59, in a five-star London hotel on Thursday night.
According to his friends, the Labour leader's director of communications did not relish the moment and insists there is nothing going on between the pair.

O/T Tennis bet today: I am backing DJOKOVIC to beat Berdych 3-0 in sets. DJOKOVIC has an outstanding 25-2 head to head record against his opponent today and has won his last 6 matches with him in straight sets - that's 14 sets in a row for the Serbian against Berdych. Even when sets get to tiebreakers DJOKOVIC wins them. Nothing's a certainty but if something happens 6 times in a row I'll happily take 11/8 on it happening a 7th time. That's the price with William Hill, Ladbrokes and Corals for a DJOKOVIC 3-0 win this afternoon and that suits me.

I'd say that's where the Iqbals were dining if I had to guess. No wonder Havering is thinking of leaving

Mine point was to express incredulity that scum like that should have supporters willing to show themselves in public.

This article seems to think it is because of the crackdowns on guns and knives:
https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/world/2017/04/27/acid-attacks-rise-united-kingdom/100739780/
There has been an enormous amount of knife crime this year in London, so I don't really buy that argument

And for the mail to pretend its all one way, after jo cox and gina miller, is ridiculous.
Yeah right
