A worthy candidate . I think there is a growing shortage of Dukes due to attrition. So perhaps we should enforce minimum number of children quotas on our peers?

Thatcher appears to have the flags of imperial Germany and the short-lived Roman Republic flag on that pullover!
I must admit I had only just noticed she had the flag of Norway on there as well. Given that Norway wasn't a member and had actually voted 3 years previously not to join I am not quite sure what message Maggie was trying to convey.

Chuck Todd @chucktodd 9m9 minutes ago Huge development if entrance poll is accurate in NV: Sanders is winning Hispanics 54-43... would be nightmare result for Brooklyn
Brooklyn is where Hillary has her HQ, ironically it's where Sanders is from.
BTW Mr Tyndall I've only just heard within the last hour my Norweigan resident brother in law tell me that 'we are not in the EU but we do all they tell us'. I'll grant you some modest hyperbole.
There are problems with the Nevada caucus process. In Reno they've run out of English caucus forms, so non-Spanish speakers have to fill out Spanish language forms.
Statewide they are having logistic issues due to the high turnout.

Fortunately your Norwegian Brother in Law is wrong. But then whether it is Norway, the UK, France or Outer Mongolia there is usually a big divide between public perceptions and reality.

It's Denmark.
Ah you're right. Obviously vexillology is not by strong point.

You should never apply to be a contestant in 'Pointless'

It's a sod, the public having a vote.
Not at all. It just means we have to persuade them. Of course in the case of Norway the Government dearly wishes the public didn't have the vote because every time they ask the EU question they get beaten.

Apropos of nothing much at all, the best titled "sleb" edition of any TV show on this blue Earth is "Pointless Celebrities". Nothing can beat that. Nothing.
Mr. Tyndall, makes me glad I wasn't around at the time. What an oaf.
Mind you, Cameron's an utter clown. His negotiation with the EU is reminiscent of John Softsword's attempt to reacquire Normandy, which led to the French invading England.

The Norweigan people keep voting in governments that apply EU regulations and edicts even though they are not in the EU. Norway, not in the EU, has had to act despite being in Schengen to bring in controls to halt Syrian immigrants. But only at the moment for 20 days. This is because EU Sweden chose to bring in border controls. Non EU Norway has had thousands of Syrian immigrants. In recent times some 29,000 asylum seekers have entered Norway. Russia as not been helpful.
"Real results are starting to come in, and it’s 49 percent for Clinton and 50 percent for Sanders. Keep in mind, however, that a lot of northern Nevada is already reporting. Counties like Lander and Humboldt have already reported over 50 percent of their precincts. These are places Sanders is winning by a large margin. Only 6 percent of Clark County (home to Las Vegas), where Clinton is winning, has reported."

Also what's the timetable for SC?
SC first exit polls at 10pm our time.
S.C. stops voting at midnight.

But alas no canvassing this time.
My next major stint as Guest Editor of PB coincides with the referendum and I'm sure PBers want me to do PB threads than canvass

However Michael Gove's statement today fortified my soul and resolve.
Effectively backing every other candidate @ 6/4.
A very decent long term bet, IMO.
Contact with (a) a campaigning organisation, (b) the folks wot might vote (or indeed, not) would make your posts more informative.
Far more so than those of the journos recycling the view from Westminster.
Sanders 0, Hillary 0
It's a dead heat (with 0% it's really dead).
One of my best ever threads was when I was given a briefing by someone in the know during last year's election

Edit - hyperlink takes you to the wrong article (I blame sabotage), but there is a disambiguation link to the right one.
We should see the Leave campaign gain proper traction and leadership/organisation fall into place in the coming days and weeks.
If that holds put a fork in Clinton shes done.

Well, the end of the 18th and start of the 19th century was a pretty boring time. Not to mention being frightfully modern.
I want to read more fiction in the immediate future, and when I return to history get some proper old stuff. I might get another of Livy's offerings.
Still good after all these years.
But I agree, if Hillary loses Nevada and wins S.C it will be a long nomination process.
No doubt about it Clinton is in trouble with these numbers.

Raw hyperlinks with an underscore "_" don't work in Vanilla discussions.
Don't leave your "_" naked.
Enclose it as, for instance
[a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roman_Republic_(18th_century)"]the Roman republic[/a]
Except you should replace "[" by "<" and "]" by ">" to get the full effect.
(edit) ahh forgive me was from the place they were at ignore.
That doesn't bode well.
Results:
Hillary 50
Sanders 50.

That is incredibly high -
nationwide union membership is about 11% of the work force, 2/3 of which are in the public sector.

With 13% in.
Maggie was happy with a European trading bloc.
Doubt she would have wanted the EUSSR.

It will be called by me in 15 minutes.
She's a divisive figure.
The only thing on her side this time is that Bernie's politics are a bit too out there, but even then she seems to be unable to put him away early.

Well, he's been the butt of enough genital puns recently so probably returning the favour.
