I'm listening on the radio and get the impression Cameron is nailing this. Lots of energy, articulate and very strong on the detail. He's doing well.
Interesting Blueberry - I listened to Cam on the radio as well and he sounded really good. With his many Cameron Direct meetings where the audiences are not screened he will have been very used to hostile questioning.
Coming to a TV near you in a few minutes .... multiple gasms, but will it be a :
Camgasm or Miligasm or a Cleggasm
Or an apathyism? A rather-be-watching-the-other-channelism? A they're-as-bad-as-each-otherism?
I think you missed my predictions this morning, the Jessop Integrated Summing Mechanism (JISM), which will overtake your ARSE to become the outstanding electorate prediction benchmark.
This just gets worse. Do I need to introduce you to Fox's Universal Constituency Knowledge?
I say "Yeah!" to Fox's Universal Constituency Knowledge.
Questioner got to repeat it a moment later. Meaning hostile question on Tories repeated twice. I don't recall any of Cameron's questioners savaging Labour while asking a clearly staged question.
I'm shocked that an audience e of 75% non-Labour voters is hostile to the leader of the Labour party. Shocked.
Maybe the BBC have got in an impartial audience (must note this in my diary). Note that 75% WERE non-Tory voters. (Perhaps Farage calling in the police and other politicians drawing attention to their innate leftwing bias has scared them a bit.)
Hope those champagne bottles were on a sale-or-return basis.
'What a shame they didn't get PBers to ask the questions then they could have crowned Dave this evening.'
A left leaning audience, with Dimbleby not asking any awkward questions & letting Ed not answer the questions, even with your blinkers on should see how hopeless Ed is.
Ed is unemployable. If this was for a junior office role, you'd be calling for the next interviewee.
He is that most dangerous person to have in any company - arrogance matched with stupidity.
I divide my officers into four groups. There are clever, diligent, stupid, and lazy officers. Usually two characteristics are combined. Some are clever and diligent -- their place is the General Staff. The next lot are stupid and lazy -- they make up 90 percent of every army and are suited to routine duties. Anyone who is both clever and lazy is qualified for the highest leadership duties, because he possesses the intellectual clarity and the composure necessary for difficult decisions. One must beware of anyone who is stupid and diligent -- he must not be entrusted with any responsibility because he will always cause only mischief.
Blair was the undisputed master at this stuff, but I suppose he never had a crashed economy to defend.
He had Iraq to defend but he fiercely believed he was right on Iraq and argued it as a matter of opinion. It's a fact that the economy went south and Miliband was a Treasury adviser. It's tougher for him.
Not watching, but shocked to find that on PB all righties think Ed is doing badly and all lefties think he is doing well. Whoever would have thought it?

Southam I've voted Tory in the past and frequently do but trust me Ed didn't do too well. That's my honest opinion.

I'm getting the impression from EdM that he's getting pissed off with this. Not a good look - his voice rises and gets very emphatic. Not reassuring, annoyed.

Trying to be impartial about this, I was shocked how hostile the audience was towards him and I'm afraid Ed did not handle it well. Of course, it may make little difference. The line about the SNP could make things interesting though.

Seriously, Cam was on form and Mili had a poor night.

Just wait for the after-show poll... (if there is one)
A lot of this sort of thing is so subjective. Your bloke always sounds better than theirs. Spoke with Portsmouth contact tonight and Penny looking safe as houses in Pompey North and Flick in with s good chance in South. Portsmouth in the 21st C is not on paper natural Tory territory. Hoping this bodes well for next week.

He started really poorly and looked dumbstruck under hostile fire but he got better towards the end. Saying Labour didn't overspend to chuckling ridicule from the audience didn't look so good.

He's just fending off:
- Overspending
- SNP
- No EU referendum
When he kept saying "My manifesto" then it reminded me of One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest... "I want MY cigarettes!!"
But do we want him to? That's the point.

Fox's Universal Constituency Knowledge Yeah!

Cameron in from over 2.5 to 2.28
Miliband out from 1.64 to 1.74
I was umming and ahhing about it.
After tonight, I soooo am

Big new drama 'The Game' starts on BBC2 at 9pm.
If he lived in the real world he wouldn't even get offered one of those.

Is there any problem in Ed's ivory tower that isn't caused by employment.

The man's come across fucking awfully tonight.
Cam 7/10 .. Ed 5/10
The twitter demographic should generally be a little bit more favourable to him.

Was going to say Clegg is like the bumper race at the end of a decent jumps card that no one hangs around to watch.. but Nige is still to come haha

Ed is impressively calm and confident, but I am not sure he has got through this entirely unscathed. Really hard questions

Gosh! This is a tough audience. Far better, more insightful questioning than the pro pundits dish out #bbcqt
