@Itajai Why not start with the Clydesiders of 1917?, or any number of equivalent English movements? Socialism argues for the common good. How much you want to ignore that is up to you, but there is a breaking point.
OK. Bedtime for me now. Well done to BJO for piling into 45-50 and trading out at the right time when so much depends on the order of results announced.
@volcanopete Sectarianism is seldom a problem these days, like a lot of bad ideas, it gets discarded as people learn. (Or not as the case may be)
I am very pleased to observe it.However, fascism is a many headed monster. It lays dormant for a while, then austerity is a serpent whose eggs hatch nazis.Greece.
Socialism is worse
Where have you experienced this?
Start with Cambodian socialists circa 1975
In no way could they be regarded as socialists. They were genocidal, authoritarian fascists. They were nominally socialist, just as New Labour were nominally socialist or Pasok was nominally in Greece or Stalin was nominally socialist.
Tracked a private jet plane that left Aberdeen at 3 am, probably Salmond's jet, on flightradar. It disappeared over some hills between Glasgow and Edinburgh, so if he hasn't crashed, he's on his way to Edinburgh.

or pop down to Magadan. Or of course like NPXMP you believe the construction of socialism is worth it. At least Pol Pot will agree with you. Greater good and all that.

of course not. Siiiiiillllyyyyyy me. They were Tories!!
This is following the trend of Higher turnout = Higher No.
This was always likely, wasn't it? The key was whether traditionally low voting areas managing to increase their turnout relative to the high voting areas.
The first rule of socialism is that you care for your fellow man. If you stray to far from that, you succumb to the dark side, and are no longer a socialist.
I wonder if Salmond will give a "victory of fear over hope" speech or whether his tone will be conciliatory. If Cameron's job was on the line for a yes vote what does NO mean for AS?

Yes - 2
No - 8
Edit. And now Stirling.
It disappeared over some hills between Glasgow and Edinburgh, so if he hasn't crashed, he's on his way to Edinburgh.
I think that was a misprint.
"He who holds sterling, holds Scotland"?
(ssanotherjoke)
Yes - 2
No - 10
Rule Britannia.

Edit: massive no.
Rule Britannia ect ect.
"No" wins by 70,039 votes to 36,614.
That's 66% for "No" and 34% for "Yes".
Total votes cast 106,653 - a turnout of 87.4%.
Poor councils voting Yes, rich ones voting No by hefty margins.
"Massive social divide."
Yes, and it needs to be healed.
Where did you get the N.Lanarkshire result?
Yes - 2
No - 15
Curtice says NO winning "comfortably"
Reputation on line...online.
It's hard to see Yes coming back from that. It's possible though.
Glasgow - Yes. Figures TBA
