Let’s just stop for a second.

Under Labour’s new proposal, employers will have a statutory responsibility to track your race.
    What next? Sexuality?

Have you not seen how every corporation worth its salt has (again) changed its company logo to the latest version of the Pride flag for the month of June?

    Again.
I have and I just accept it as part of the calendar.
I have some petty philosophical objections but in the end i think it’s largely harmless and good to recognise diversity in the fullest sense.

Indeed my townhall later this month will be pride-themed, and I’m planning to open with “You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)” by Sylvester.
I do not want my race, or sexuality, to be recorded under mandate by law by either government or private companies.

Look at IBM's complicity in the Holocaust if you want to understand why.

    I agree entirely.
But I think celebrating “pride” is not un-positive.

Of course the corporate virtue signalling is a bit silly, but almost all public life is nowadays.
I agree on that too! I have always tried to be a good ally to my LGBTQ friends. When companies do it it occasionally feels ingenuous, but you only have to look under the "comments section" on social media when a company posts a pride flag to understand why it's still necessary.

I remain of the view that Labour will probably get slightly less than 40% and the Tories at least 25%. Not sure about the other parties, or the size of the majority.

I read the comment from @MoonRabbit and sniggered a little. Have to vote Tory or else you get a government who does nanny state stuff like banning adverts of junk food (as defined by pencil-pushing bureaucrats) to children, or the laborious High Fat Salt Sugar regulations.

No, strike that, reverse it. The TORIES are the nanny state doing the exact same thing she is attacking Labour for doing.

This is why the Tories are absolutely doomed. Can't accept reality, keep saying black is white. etc.

Gentle tip: I skip over all your posts now.

The rants from the stands are some of the most boring on the site.
I'm sure RochalePioneers will be utterly devastated by your announcement

An awful lot of buzzwords, but very little substance.

Everybody has to have an AI strategy these days.

So PMs are rebranding whatever it is that they have already as AI, maybe smearing an LLM over the top so they can say they’re partnering with OpenAI or something.

Which makes it very hard to sort the actually innovative wheat from the enormous amounts of chaff...
    It’s this years “blockchain”.

I look forward to those Budget statements when Rachel Reeves announces how much the economy is growing.

Those of you on here still clinging to some expectation that Labour are going to bomb need to brace yourselves for a loooooong time in the political wilderness.

And the further Right you go, the deeper into the desert you head.

Have a nice day ;) xx

We all look forward to Rachel Reeves announcing the economy is growing because it’s good for the country. If she isn’t doing this in five years we also look forward to you coming on PB and admitting to your hubris and misjudgment so it’s a win-win.
If that thought helps you sleep at night over the next five years then I’m pleased for you.

But in the real world, she’s gonna be just fine and so is the country.

    @NatashaC

NEW: Nigel Farage reveals he'd be happy to lead a Conservative-Reform merged party...

Suggestions slapped down by Tories across the party including PM...

"Fuck off, Farage" is a nice chant....
If only you had said that in 2016, eh?
    I did.

I have always hated Farage. And if Brexit had been led by Farage, we would still be in the EU. As evidenced by his rogue poster campaign.

Brexit was only won because it was fronted by Boris. HE is the most important figure relating to Brexit. When Farage tries to claim the crown, it should be remembered by Reform voters that he nearly blew it. We were nearly still tied to Bruseel's aporon strings. For eternity.

    Thanks Nige. You twat.
Should Nige reverse take over the Conservative Party you would be wearing out your shoe leather posting Con-Ref leaflets in rural South Devon at GE 2029. You can't deny it.
