On Monday I flagged up the potential value in backing Labour in the Gorton & Denton by-election and this poll from Opinium reinforces that view and I think the 6s still represents value on what is essentially a three horse race.

A whistleblower just disclosed that FBI experts were delayed by AT LEAST A DAY in deploying to investigate Charlie Kirk’s assassination.
Why?
There was an FBI plane and pilot shortage… because Kash Patel was using them for personal flights.

Hours before SOTU, the public is learning that DOJ appears to have withheld and removed Epstein-file records tied to allegations that President Trump sexually abused a minor.
This is a Watergate-level scandal unfolding in real time.

Seriously tight esp given MoE.
-> What might make me think Labour will outperform, if it’s this close one assumes they started with better postal vote data and pledges
-> What might make me think Greens might outperform perform, sample quality of Muslim voters was very poor in GE2024 meaning extent of anti Lab backlash was missed
- > What might make think Reform might outperform, this is a high Tory vote considering you’d expect they’d be squeezed and lose their deposit.

That's the metric I'd be going with.
In New York the police use publicity as a punishment. Such practices must not take hold here

Must take my hat off to Bodo Glimt tonight, a 2-1 win at the San Siro sees them into the Champions league last 16. They didn't even win the Norwegian league in 2025
What the f does "in real time" add to that sentence?
"This is a Watergate level scandal" does just fine.
And didn't Watergate unfold in real time too?
Honestly.
Who will win at a canter I do not know.

The Greens are ahead with likely voters in Gorton and Denton.
But this shows that the result will come down to whoever gets their vote out on Thursday.
In other words, the Greens need a huge army of canvassers to win this.

“Eleven of the twelve F-22 Raptors that departed earlier today from RAF Lakenheath in Suffolk, England have landed at Ovda Airbase in the Negev Desert of Southern Israel, joining the ongoing buildup by the U.S. Air Force at bases across the Middle East. One of the F-22s was forced to return to RAF Lakenheath shortly after takeoff due to a suspected fuel leak, though it will likely make the trip to Israel by Friday“

I think Greens are the most likely to win but they're value to lay right now.
No.
Maybe that wont matter but my wallet says it will.

I’m not expecting any mention of Chagos in Trumps State of the Union address, but I am expecting Trump to “call out” Starmer and the Labour Government on washing their hands standing up to China on imprisoning of Jimmy Lai and Hong Kong Democracy leaders.
And I predict Kemi will also echo this point of Trumps at PMQs.
"Deorbit Capability Fault Tolerance - a. The propulsion system lacked required two-fault tolerance for deorbit burns, which was a design flaw present since early development but not identified until CFT pre-launch."
So, Boeing designed a spacecraft. The design was reviewed multiple times by them and NASA. But they failed to notice this until just before the third, crewed flight. After the two previous flights had had massive problems. And having noticed this problem, they flew anyway.

And yet Labour are struggling to win. This is pure Lab territory.
Why has the party lost its roots so completely?
Without googling can you explain to bewildered PB what TANTRIC SEX is?
PS I’ll give you a clue 🧘♀️ 🌷 🐍
Like nearby Mildenhall there are no RAF personnel on the ground they are in reality USAF bases
Hence my regular calls for them to be closed down..
Starmer has steadfastly refudlsed, so far, for the US to use the RAF base at Fairford and the Chagos base both of which have runways suitable to the larger US transport planes.
It would be logistically near impossible under current protocols to ban the USAF from using Mildenhall and Lakenheath and would probably see the end of NATO as the minimum US retaliation.
Even though Step Moms are played by actresses, Labour is going to ban such filthy movies.
Starmer is backing Trump in this war. At no point wasn’t he.

People keep saying voting starts in Gorton & Denton on Thursday. Not really true. Thousands of people have already voted - by post - & are voting already & maybe 20-25% of votes will have been cast by time polling stations open on Thursday morning.

Very hard to know what it will be on Thursday .
Reform 1.73
Labour 4.3
Greens 5.3
Despite what Moon Rabbit says, (who may well be proven right in the end), currently punters see it as a 3 horse race with Labour now the slightly better option to prevent Reform winning.
I've made fairly paltry bets, for fairly paltry winnings, on both Labour and Reform.
Reform have had the absolute luck of the Gods in the way the Greens and Labour remain level pegging with neither conceding. Yes Labour have great GOTV, and the bulk of the Muslim vote sewn up, but there's no real enthusiasm for them. Greens have enthusiasm, but if they haven't been canvassing they have no idea where their waivering voters are.
Reform have enthusiasm and lots of volunteers, they have been doing a lot of canvassing, and tactical voting has basically been eliminated as a factor.
It's been a fun one to observe either way.
So I don't think it's really an example of a police-organised perp walk. More our ravenous press biting the hand that fed them so well for years.
He has no control over Mildenhall or Lakenheath

"Mandelson's lawyers say he was arrested over 'baseless' claim he was a flight risk"
One of the weaknesses of our social media news age, so many outlets repeat news that come from one single source “of truth.” You find it most common in sport and football coverage. On continent big football clubs have cozy relationships with local reporters, something is printed about a player or manager, target of the club, and all the English media lap it up, everyone repeats it, discussion programmes discuss it. It’s absolutely everywhere. But it’s utterly made up. Though, with an original purpose behind it.
Same here with this story. What you are taking as a position of Starmer and his government, actually came to UK media from the US, whilst discussions were still going on between the countries, as a White House pressuring tactic.
What has UK government said about it that supports the idea of final position taken? Did you notice what the Downing Street briefing had to say about it? Who else has a separate source, other than what came from the Times and their source?
If you can’t answer these questions key to your opinion, why are you so certain of your opinion?
I think the Epstein Files suggests insider trading by Epstein with Mandy’s help, so something extremely serious to properly investigate. I don't think it's really an example of a police-organised perp walk, just normal way of doing business.
Getting arrested isn’t really that serious. Charges would be serious. Charges suggest quite a lot of evidence, and prison if proven guilty.
I’m looking forward to the Trial of Peter Mandelson. But I don’t think it will happen. I’m expecting “not enough evidence, case in cold storage.”
Nor did he invent tantric sex. Where’s PB getting that rubbish from? Tantric is five thousand years old. That’s even older than Sting and his wife. Nor Tantric sex all about yab yum, imo, it’s about merging hearts and achieving the highest levels of trantra. To me, focusing into each others eyes whilst fingering each other is tantric. I expect you can tell us all about the dakini. Go for it Sunil!
Better mark this as off topic.
Obviously PB owners and admins will know to what degree we can discuss such things here, that’s just not in the papers or other news media, but which security agency do we think Epstein was closest too? When Goldfinger mixes a dry Martini, not stirred, for 007, does Bond have to declare that or is it a perk of the job?
Much is made of Epstein’s “conviction” that made him convicted paedophile, he was convicted of a charge soliciting a minor for prostitution and procuring a child for prostitution. He pleaded guilty to these state charges as part of a plea deal, which required him to register as a sex offender and serve 13 months in county jail with work release - in reality he was placed in a separate housing unit, with Work Release allowed to leave the jail for up to 12 hours a day, six days a week, to work at his private office. he didn’t even really go to jail.
Someone or something pulled strings.
‘Step-family’ content is not currently included in the legislation, but Alex [Alex Davies-Jones is Minister for Victims and Violence Against Women and Girls] says the Government will be conducting a ‘broader review [around extreme pornography] and looking at what more needs to be done’ in future.

They do appear to have gone from the environmentalist party to appealing to a rather sectarian audience.
