He'll do what suits himself. The idea he's fixated on the US national interest seems rather quaint.

He's pure zero-sum. It's whether you can persuade him that sending materiel to Ukraine is a win for the US.
A win for us you mean.

Everything in his recent record suggests he will. How long is PB going to indulge this cruel delusion? From his track record in office (he turned his back on the Ukranians cos Zelensky told him to do one over Hunter Biden, and reluctantly turned back only some time later) to his recent remarks, his pattern of behavior is clear.

Trump respects strength and utility to the US, and despises weakness and dependency on the US. His politics is purely transactional, not moral. If he could throw the Ukrainians into a charnel pit for a dollar profit he would do so and then go and have lunch.
It wasn't Trump who pulled out of Afghanistan, even though he might have been expected to be.

Give him preapproved plans for the Trump Mariupol hotel in honour of his achievement in defeating Russia, which will mark him out as probably the greatest president in American history.
It's genuinely likely to be an effective strategy. I cannot imagine it could ususally completely derail US policy, but if ever there was a world leader for whom personal flattery would see a nation gain some benefit, it would be with Trump.

The very fact his supporters (and thus the party) have increasingly gone toward not wanting to provide further support to Ukraine, and that it is the increasingly lone voices of no hoper candidates and Senate GOP foreign policy hawks who disagree, suggest very strongly that he sees it in his interests to sell them down the river. If it were not, he'd have said very different things, and the party rank and file would have followed.

    Actually it kind of was.

That's comparing Trump to Biden, which is not relevant to an assessment to Trump. If somebody asked "How tall is Trump?", the response "He's taller than Biden" would not be relevant.

    1. Mrs DA is Indian not Russian. Though she qualified and practiced in Russia.

    2. You should all stop giving so much of a fuck what I write about the SMO.

    3. It'll all be over by Christmas. One last push.

The air traffic control audio is real
The visuals are a video game (MS Flight Simulator)
Have a look, see if you would have guessed the visuals aren't real.

Indeed so. She was hoping to be in contention, but didn’t expect to be right up there. A PB in the 800m as well, two seconds slower and shee have lost that gold medal.

Tomorrow’s front page picture editors now have a decision to make! I’d go for the winner.
All the front pages show the Lionesses, none KJT's gold medal at the World Athletics Championships.

Have we done Trump saying he won't do any debates? (As opposed to just the next one.)

    :disappointed:

What a shame, perhaps I’m getting old if I don’t understand why coverage of those who didn’t win their event yesterday is much more prominent than those who did. Congratulations to Katarina, best all-round female athlete in the world!

The visuals are okay, but definitely not real.

More concerned about the actual incident, which although not quite as close as those visuals made it out to be, was full of non-standard phraseology from ATC and both pilots, alongside the lovely American practice of clearing planes to land on occupied runways!

Additionally debt interest repayments for 2023 is estimated at a massive £110 billions
strangely that one was missed, never hear Barty whining about his heroes paying out as much for their mess than pensioners get.
