"Do what you want - and pay for it". Public not in favour of cakeism.
Prince Andrew....the Jezza of the royal family.
Jeremy Corbyn was not "friends with" a paedophile.
I think you may well receive a comment from the 'moderator' over that sentence
Not sure there is any dispute that a certain Prince's circle of friends may have included someone convicted of unbecoming behaviour. Unless you were defending Corbyn?
No - I am always extremely cautious when discussing these matters
Probably quite a lot of credit owed to Julian Smith, much more effective than the hapless Karen Bradley who was viewed with contempt by all sides in NI.
The buck stops with Boris. So for the moment this is a Boris win.
Boris owns everything now apparently, applies to good as well as bad I assumed
Politically speaking, yes he does. All Heads of State do.
Brenda still carries that can - currently on a favourable rating of +66....(pipped only by William, (+69) and miles ahead of Charles (+24) and Harry (+29).
Yes fairy point, but you knew what I meant. Mrs Mountbatten however doesn't stand or fall by circumstances every four or five years at the ballot box.
Why would auto correct select 'fairy' over 'fair'? Sorry.
"The Labour leadership candidate Jess Phillips says she believes the public is prepared to pay more tax to get an NHS-style social care system that looks after elderly and vulnerable people."

My autocorrect has only just got out of capitalising every "may"!
Sir Keir has a very elegant looking wife, almost Jackie Kennedy like, I will give him that
The voters don't like that sort of thing in the PM's partner these days, they like a bit of rough. See Johnson's latest, but by no means final, cock holster.

Is she working class? That is all that matters in Labour it seems.
Please, please, please tell me the Dem membership is not going to give us a guarantee of four more years of Trump by voting in Bernie as their runner?
Strikes me this is the same deluded, dreamy, lefty madness that gave Labour its worst result since 1935.
I don"t think it is.
1) Bernie is well to the right of Corbyn
2) bernie is not trying to block a set of clear instructions that the voters gave unlike Labour here.
3) American inequality is way worse than here and they dont even have universal healthcare, now of course voters often vote against their economic interests but many Midwest voters voted on the basis Trump wouldn't be like every other GOP president on economic issues, but he has.

A term I have never before heard. I plan to use it in future with copious regularly. Thank you.

Voters vote for the leader not their partner, though they might help them look the part

Nah. I'd have voted for Blair if he had been married to Heather Locklear and not Cherie.
Peter Cook played the manager of the fictional ballroom where the show was supposedly taking place, and frequently made disparaging remarks about the acts appearing. Chris Hill played the "king of the kids", a loudmouthed character whose role was to stir up the live audience. Birmingham DJ Les Ross ran a hamburger stand while sharing rock trivia and hosting the Revolver Reviver spot. Revolver was recorded in front of a live audience in Birmingham, UK.
Artists featured that subsequently became more famous were: Ian Dury & The Blockheads, The Jam, Elvis Costello[1] and David Coverdale/Whitesnake.
Other notable artists included Alberto Y Lost Trios Paranoias, XTC, Tom Robinson Band, Nick Lowe, Steel Pulse, The Vibrators, The Stranglers, Buzzcocks,[1] Siouxsie and the Banshees, The Rezillos, Bonnie Tyler, The Fabulous Poodles, The Boomtown Rats,[2] The Motors, Suzi Quatro, X-Ray Spex, The Tourists, stunt performer Eddie Kidd performing "Leave it to the Kidd", The Rich Kids, and The Only Ones.

Hugh Hefner playing himself, introducing Peter Green’s Fleetwood Mac singing a song about their drummer masturbating...
Yes, and many do not make a recommendation. Generally this is decided at a special meeting.
150 mark would be enough to win?
Probably, but it depends on how many decide to make a nomination. Then it was optional, but as it is a second hurdle to the member vote now, a higher percentage may do so.

Another thing that may happen if Keir or RLB get over the affiliate hurdle very quickly - Starmer only needs a minor union and one more affiliate, and you'd expect Unite is in the bag for RLB meaning she is in the same boat, is CLPs endorsing one of the lesser candidates. Might depress the two frontrunners' numbers a bit if a few moderate controlled ones break for Nandy or JP because their reps at the meeting make that pitch that they should be on the ballot, or alternatively in Corbynista ones where Lewis may argue the same should he clear the MPs hurdle.
It is the CLP nominations that is the one to watch. The order of those predicted the order of both the 2015 and 2016 contests.
How many nominations would that be?
Not all CLPs make a nomination, but these were the 2015 figures:
Corbyn 152 Burnham 111 Cooper 109 Kendall 18 Undeclared 256
The difference this time is that CLP nominations matter in order to get on the postal ballot.
As the CLP and postal votes are so correlated, in practice that may matter little. For example if Jess fails to get the CLP votes it is probably because she cannot get the members vote.
I shall stake heavily on the CLP winner, particularly if not Starmer, who is rather short already.

The Bernie surge is real with just 3 weeks to go now until the Iowa caucuses
157 nominations completed so far, not many to go.

P.S. No she doesn't!

I think I am actually going to cry.
Who do you reckon for Lib Dems next leader?
Let's get out of Muslim countries altogether!
Corbyn was the most left-wing Labour leader since Foot, looks like the Democrats could nominate their most left-wing candidate since McGovern
That's a tough crowd out there.....
Still, not over yet.

Great show, and Chris Packham was great too on the legacy of Punk.

Surely value?
What way does the CLP work?
Is it one nomination from each constituency?
