Yeah I will give you Scott was a personal attack. But then on that I don't really care. If he is really happy in himself then he can ignore me. But I suspect not.
As for Fitalass, give over.
Why should I, You have been pretty unpleasant the last few nights. When you are more pleasant and less rude, I'll not need to highlight your unpleasantness will I?
Is it just Labour posters unpleasantness you choose to "highlight", out of interest?
Jeez, why am I not surprised that you have waded into this argument in those terms. You don't ever have a problem with these repeated nasty little trolling attacks on other posters from the usual suspects littering the threads, just when someone dares to gallantly challenge their behaviour. How odd.

"I find the odd relationship Labour has with the USA perplexing - it loves to hug the Democrats [who are to the right of the Tories on some issues] and yet is very anti-American almost as a matter of principle on everything else.
I give in trying to work out what's on. A bit like the Left's dislike of Jews on rather too many occasions. David Ward being the latest example. I'm not exercised much by it - just left scratching my head".
A little more nuanced than your claim, no?
Not much.
I'm sure the customary PB lauding of Dan Hodges took place after his piece on Tory racism and anti-Semitism.
'Most Tory traditionalists aren't racist – but most Tory racists are traditionalists. What is the Right going to do about its Patrick Mercers?'
Hodges's piece didn't restrict its criticism to Tory racists. Note this extract:
Labour has a serious and growing problem with anti-Semitism, as do elements of the Liberal Democrats. And I’ve regularly written about it, and condemned it.

All the best bloggers seem to be at it.
I certainly note that you've left out the beginning and end of that para.
'The response of the traditionalist wing of the Tory party to this charge is invariably indignation, followed by deflection. “All political parties have a problem with racism,” they claim. And they’re right. Labour has a serious and growing problem with anti-Semitism, as do elements of the Liberal Democrats. And I’ve regularly written about it, and condemned it. But shouting “look over there!” doesn’t help you deal with what’s standing behind you.'
"But neither as offensive nor as stupid as you claimed."
Come on! By the standards of what people find offensive on here that's a 9/10. Even I who do not easily get insulted took a deep breath when I read that one yesterday.
Make the white folks angry, eh? Or was that someone who was 'acting like a Tory'?
Lol, if you think that weary old PB Tory Woolas schtick has any traction with me, you're p!ssing up the wrong tree. I'm happy to accept Phil 'was acting like a Tory'.

Can't the men (I assume) just let the women stick up for themselves ffs? Jeez.
I guess I'd just like to see one of you stand up to it for once - preferably with a bit of wit - instead of that passive/aggressive crap. It makes me cringe. Insults get flung both ways on PB - mostly I keep out of it as plenty enough posters get involved in the fray. But as a woman it gets my goat seeing other women do that weakling/close down debate routine when men are around.

Not everyone finds feebleness in women desirable. Perhaps Carola thinks you're giving women a bad name? Square Root is certainly making me retch!
Curious thread - full of people mildly insulting each other, like a convention of slightly annoyed lambs returning from a rather tiresome shearing. In the absence of tim and seanT, nobody really gets into a furious stride.
And then Roger comes along to remind me of just how low the personal attacks towards Plato and I can go from our little bingo card of usual suspects. This post is right up there along side the post that got Tim his first temporary ban on this site, and if I had been a man he wouldn't have ever gone after me in the terms he did that night! But that just makes Carola's little interventions all the more crass in the circumstances.

It was the corroboration (possibly even source?) of Plato's claim that I wanted to highlight.

Roger
I am so glad I make you feel ill. Long may you retch.
Electoral Calculus' predictions - so that's the chance that, if the parties get their respective shares, this will convert into a particular combination of seats?
"New Tory election guru may find UK a tough nut to crack Anger at betrayal of the Democratic-Labour axis tempered with the belief Jim Messina is embarking on one campaign too many"
Reassuring words for Labour from Patrick Wintour..
Is it just me that has a sneaky feeling that the only reason Osborne (I imagine it's Osborne) has hired Jim Messina is for the entertainment value of seeing the Guardianistas in full, splendid, bonkers, reality-denying froth?

Come on then, no-doubt-soon-to-be MP, teach us how it's really done! Bet politicians are masters of sledging behind closed doors.

Is any of you a LibDem member?! Don't feel shy....I need you for a moment...
Apparently if you look at parliamentary selections section of LibDem website (which is in the part accessible only to members) there's another (it's not Berwick) LD held seat listed where new applications have been called.....suggesting the sitting MP is retiring.
I don't want to pay LD membership fee just to discover who is retiring....
It is Hazel Grove, Andrea. Andrew Stunell is the current MP, he will be 72 by the election. LD majority 6,371 (15.2%) over the conservatives.

Lol. Oh do get over yourself.
"God I like you,you have spunk ;-)"
I think Carola's everyone's favourite poster-she's mine-say's what she thinks is brief and makes me laugh. A pity she can't give lessons to Sean
Will Jennings: "OK, all elections 1945-2010, average final year increase for incumbent is 2.5%, so there is some evidence for you."
Will Jennings: (on oppositions): "It's different but pretty symmetrical (-2.6%). Of course, past performance is not an indication of future results!"
