Juppe 31 (-2) / Sarkozy 30 (=) / Fillon 27 (+7) - The changes are from last week.
Second round Juppe 57 / Sarkozy 43 Fillon 63 / Sarkozy 37 Juppe 50 / Fillon 50
The dynamic stays the same (Juppe down, Sarkozy flat, Fillon up) and it seems that we are nowwithin the margins of error for the first round.
The debate tonight was a bit dull, not sure it will have changed strongly the momentum.
I'm wondering if Fillon could do this; he's certainly the guy with the big 'mo at the moment.
Indeed. The problem is that his rise started very late and from a very low base. In this IFOP poll he gained 8 points last week and 7 this one, more than doubling his score from 12 to 27. But he is still just behind... If the press is as favorable for him tomorrow as it was after the first two debates it might get really interesting on Sunday night!
But, if you look at the detail of the Guardian article, you will see that the Government will now exclude infrastructure spending from the deficit reduction calculations. Meaning that Labour's policy at the 2015 election is about to become Tory policy.
"Germany has warned that Britain may have to continue to pay EU contributions for a decade after Brexit, ahead of a meeting between Theresa May and Angela Merkel in Berlin.
Wolfgang Schauble, the German finance minister, said that Britain's financial commitments will "last beyond the exit" and that it will not benefit from any rebates.
Britain is hoping that Germany will help to temper demands from France that Britain must "pay a price" for its decision to leave the EU."
Oh dear, bang goes our £350 million per week saving or so it would seem!

So another set of empty threats "give us the money, or you will pay nothing".

I posted hundreds of time under different commenting systems (and two other names linked to my change of posting country) in the past. But only the oldies from2007 might remember that!

Evening everyone. Just watching the piece on newsnight about hf trading. Wouldn't the delay that Betfair uses on an in play market prevent all the chaos? Genuine question as I don't really follow the ins and outs of the financial markets.

I see reports of Hammond using one of my favourite nonsense words - in that he still 'aspires' to achieve a surplus apparently. As we all know, aspiring to something in politics means you know you won't achieve it, are probably not even trying, but want to indicate you like the sound of it.
If the opening sequence of TGT is anything to go by....I think we know where all that Amazon money is going!

No, in Germany's case it's "give us the money, or you will pay nothing, and buy none of our exports".

Aspiring to not say George Osborne is a complete muppet, perhaps?

I think I remember the Bethesda handle. Always wondered if you meant the game company, or the actual town!

I reckon it'll be overload as people try and watch it, and as a TV snob, I'll wait until I get back home, and watch it on my 4k Ultra HD TV.
UHD is the dog's dangly bits.

Utterly bizarre if true! (and why would it be under a court injunction?)

Put another way, EICIPM
Because if that is the story it is a waste of time.

Is this story worth staying up until Midnight for?
As I said, everybody is on for Secretary of State.
It's Cabinet Apprentice.
Manchester United’s debt has risen by 18%, to close to £338m, in part due to Great Britain’s decision to leave the European Union.

Edit - The second worst, the worst referendum result in history was on June 23rd, as it led to Dave resigning.
Hectic morning at work, which began at 6amish, taking a phone call at 7.45 am from someone who worked for the Tory party telling me Dave was quitting.
Ringing Mike at 7.50 am to tell him the news.
