Oh btw I see Grayling has broken cover and called membership of the EU disastrous. I'm curious to see if this is the start of a concerted campaign from Tory rebels or if he turns out to be the sacrificial lamb.

I haven't read or heard Grayling's words directly, but the summary of his views on R5L seemed utterly reasonable. But I would say that, as they appeared to match my views rather well.

I cannot see the EU moving away from further EZ integration, or treating the non-EZ countries significantly differently from the EZ countries (two-speed Europe). This means that eventually we would have to join the Euro. And that's somewhere I don't want to go.
I'm sorry but what on earth are you talking about? There is no way we can leave the EU and join the Euro

    I suggest you re-read what I wrote.
I'm glad you replied because it appears I misunderstood what you wrote, my bad.

The response to Grayling's announcement has been muted on here, the wagons are circling.
Grayling supporting anything is usually a coup for the other side.
I'm afraid I have to agree with you.

Leave needs moderates and not just the usual suspects.
He's ex SDP. He can play the moderate card.
Gove and May are the interesting ones still to declare.

Sad about Alan Rickman. First saw him in The Barchester Chronicles where he was eerily sinister; great actor

anyone betting on Hillary would be well advised to read Charles Lipson's column @ Real Clear Politics....Joe Biden may well have to jump back into the race ....she is in trouble

    Regardless, either would beat Trump
Just chucked a couple of quid at John Kerry at 550/1. If Clinton does fall he might be suddenly in play. I still think the legal email server troubles will be massaged away in some manner however and so most of my 2016 betting is on the GOP side.

Trump , the billionaire who inherited millions from his wealthy parents and yet still managed to go bankrupt 4 times and also claims the minimum wage is too high ....AND YET , how many of his supporters are working at or close to minimum wage ?....this is the Cult of ''The Donald ''...

The folks who attend his rallies are somewhat similar to the grainy footage of Weimar Germany with the hysterical women and cheering men ...Trump , like Hitler is offering both hope and hate ...''make America great again'' ?...or Germany awake ?

I doubt it ....I think she will be forced out , but even if she survives she will be a wounded lame duck candidate ...she should of resigned or been fired over her negligence in the Benghazi debacle

If Biden doesn't jump in then Kerry will be next in line ...he's another venal opportunist who will never miss an open goal

Kerry would give ISIS, Saudia and Iran everything they would ask for and more. A man willing to be fooled and crushed. He would be an absolute disaster for America and the West.

As I read it Grayling was talking about an unreformed EU as it is now.
