Disraeli Well on the same scenario even more than the 100 or so Labour MPs who voted against Blair on Iraq would have rebelled before your scenario comes into play, but regardless of whether he was embarrassed as Leader of the Opposition or even lost a no confidence vote in a Tory minority government he could have won a subsequent election anyway against, say new Labour leader Gordon Brown and he may even have done a deal with the LDs after they supported him on Iraq

(1) Party logos have been on ballot papers since 1999, not since 1983
(2) There were many people who expressed concern at the large Labour majority in 2005 when Labour only got 35% of the votes.
(3) The Labour majority in 2005 was 66, not "160+".
