The West is facing a growing split between the Anglosphere (US/UK) and the EU (Franco-German bloc) when it comes to dealing with #DragonBear (China & Russia). Little did I know that Macron‘s visit to China will quickly manifest this geopolitical trend.
The “growing split” has been the for as long as I can remember. France - marginally - prioritises “strategic autonomy”, and Germany - marginally - prioritises export volumes.
The UK almost entirely hews to the US line, in part because the two Anglo countries see things very similarly.
The tweeter seems to suggest a Polish-Ukrainian union is on the cards for 2023 which seems far-fetched.
