Yes, as I commented earlier, you can build a 4 wheel bicycle which is solar powered and will crawl around at a few miles an hour. You can't do that with a modern car, with the requirements for safety structure etc. There isn't enough incident light. What has been done by a few people, is a solar panel to run the cars air… -

Belarus It appears state media (or whats left of it) are saying that Russia has agreed to help President Big Hat on request. That's a very broad statement. Russia will have no problem sending advisors, though whether its to help the President himself or a broader regime is an open question. The question is what else would… -

In 2018 we will have to work on the framework of our new partnership with the United Kingdom. After – and only after – the detailed arrangements for and the principles of an orderly separation have been agreed. Soon I hope. As for the future, I would like to stress two points: First, as Prime Minister Theresa May has said,… -

It would be a big mistake for either of them to skip the debate, but there has been talk of Clinton pulling out. I may be being too influenced by my own experience of getting small stories into the NYT that then appear in major newspapers around the world within hours, unlike when they don't appear in the NYT and go out… -

LOL what nonsense. Food has always has contamination issues. Did being in the EU stop contamination in dutch eggs, horse meat being sold as beef chemical contamination in lettuce ? Or in our own case BSE, salmonella eggs or foot and mouth ? Two tblocks spinning their regulations doesn't stop food scares. As Ive pointed out… -

Labour and the unions seem to be moving to a referendum and remain just at the time their London mps are under a real threat from the Lib Dems. I do believe most labour members do want to remain in the EU but with labour plummeting in the polls there is a very real chance many labour mps want to neuter Corbyn's extreme… -

Pied Noir is a key to the whole thing. To understand what this is all about you have to know the History of Algeria. Basically, imagine if South Africa had been declared an integral part of the UK in 1930 (and had Rhodesian style short of apartheid instituionalised discrimination including in who is allowed to vote) and… -

That interesting, a million people have a zero hours contract as a secondary income. No wonder when they have surveyed people who are actually employed using zero hours contracts, there are a significant % who actually like them and the flexibility they give, because by the looks of it they are using them as a way of… -

Javid is a fcuking idiot if he thinks doctors and the NHS in general have much responsibility for or agency in areas of low life expectancy. On this topic, Marina Hyde on form in today's Graun, discussing the shortcomings of Starmer: Anyway, as my diagnostic fave, Dr Gregory House, knew: people lie. Let's say Remain had won the referendum by the same margins the most bullish polls were showing in the last 48 hours, by 54% to 46%. The pound would have spiked, and immigration would probably have reached record highs off the back of overvalued sterling and strong global growth in 2017. In the meantime, calls within the… -
Re: Who’ll come out of May 5th best – Johnson or Starmer? – politicalbetting.com
Another one with a very selective memory. I spent many happy hours on here both before and after the referendum arguing that whilst Farage had been pivotal in getting the referendum, once it had been secured he was nothing but a liability to the campaign to actually win it. Indeed I included such an argument in at least… -
Re: Will the Truss link be as damaging to the CON brand as Corbyn was to LAB? – politicalbetting.com
The sentiment probably goes much further back, but the first time I saw it was in the 1991 Louisia governor's race between corrupt John Edwards and former KKK leader, David Duke: 'Humorous unofficial bumper stickers were created in support of Edwards over Duke, despite Edwards' negative reputation. One bumper sticker read… -

A massive dilemma. The problem in replacing Starmer is all those ghoulish figures that would emerge from the shadows like Burgon and Long- Bailey. And heaven forbid one might win. It's curious how much of a lag there can be on this. I was hoping to do an insulation upgrade/retrofit project on my house but have been unable to find any firms who are sufficiently non-busy to do the work at all. So I've had to put it on hold til next year -- if demand really does collapse maybe I'll have better luck… -

From memory there were a couple of care homes very early on in the progress (WA state IIRC), and Fauci picked it up straight away and told every doctor in the US not to send people to care homes who hasn’t been tested negative. Re: politicalbetting.com » Blog Archive » New YouGov polling finds Moggsy’s MP voting plan has gone down
Starmer is setting up booby traps, and he is very astute at it too. Either BoZo does what Keir says, or he doesn't. It means that he leads the agenda, or he closes off an escape route, or is forced to make a blunder, like the JRM one on parliament. Like all barristers, Starmer is good at anticipation. Not for a long time… -

OMG Keir Starmer would be happy to see Brexit not happen ! And this is news ! It’s hardly a big shock . He is of course reflecting the views of a huge majority of members and Labour voters . He’s not there to facilitate Mays deal unless it has a referendum attached . I’m surprised these for show negotiations lasted this…
