I really don't know, its not much of a choice is it. I guess if I had been tortured Id say anything.
I agreed with @JosiasJessop last night to prevent the torture of his endless pinickity questions so Im not trying to be a brave keyboard warrior!
I wouldn't go anywhere near the middle east personally. Although its probably coming to me soon
You seem rather obsessed with me, mate.
Can I suggest a voluntary pact? I won't respond to your posts, and you won't respond to mine.
It seems the simplest way of ending the 'torture' you feel when you have your views challenged.
-------------------------------------------------------
Not at all obsessed, I noticed you name checked me a few times in conversations with others in the last day or so, so thought it was fair game
(A nice way of saying you started it basically... "Mate")
But your suggestion of never responding to me sounds fantastic, I am bang up for it.
I don't respond to yours anyway unless directly asked a question so no problem there
No indirect passive aggressive mentions either please, I promise I won't do that either

The kind of stereotypes portrayed in the cartoon need to be ok for everyone or not ok for anyone.
It's the essex jokes double standard. I'm fine with them, though I could make a case for them insulting my whole family if I wanted to be a bleeding heart. But people that give it have to take it or do one

Gordon Brown caught telling porkies. Again.
'We will block more powers warns Tory MP'
Christopher Chope has told the BBC that there are enough back bench Conservative MPs in Parliament who are against more powers going to Scotland in the event of a No vote and who would vote against such a move.
Chope was discussing more powers on BBC Radio 4 when he was asked if he accepted that Westminster had now lost the power to veto further devolution as outlined by Gordon Brown this week. The MP replied: "No, I don't accept anything has been lost. If there is a No vote then it will be the status quo".
Challenged by the presenter that it would not be no change, Chope replied: "It will be, because we can't change the constitution without the approval of the United Kingdom Parliament and that seems to have been lost in this debate."

Apologies if this has been posted before, but re that ICM indyref poll, has a pollster ever described their own poll as an outlier?
Martin Boon, the head of ICM Research, said his firm's poll should be seen in the context of a volatile campaign in which results have shifted dramatically.
“Polls can and do go up and down and the fuss an individual poll makes will soon be forgotten when the real result arrives,” he said. “The proper way to analyse this poll is simply to take it as an ‘outlier’ which fits into the overall impression created by all Scottish polls right now: it seems too close to call, and could go either way

If the Queen can't intervene in Scottish independence what exactly is the point of having her?
I don't think she should intervene, but it seems like precisely the sort of question that we've always thought that the monarchy was all about. Which questions would they step forwards on?
Either she intervenes (one way or another) or I can't see any argument against abolition of the Monarchy.

Rather like the street violence and trashed blocks of flats, it's one of those things that happen in the PB alternative universe but not in the newspapers.
Mind you, there's apparently an interesting pair of alternative realities around today on the initial period of iScotland. Tom Devine in the Sunday Herald and Andrew Roberts in, I seem to recall, the Telegraph or Times (but have not read the latter).
I see the Sunday Mail* is neutral, however ...

But its the Conservatives in government not Gordon Brown.Howard said:
Tory MPs haven't won a majority in Westminster since the election of 1992. So not likely to be in a position to do that.Stuart_Dickson said:Gordon Brown caught telling porkies.

Therefore its not Gordon Brown who will be making decisions.

But on something like this all party leaders will probably reach agreement. It won't be tory backbenchers deciding either, so no concerns there either.another_richard said:

OK, 'contrived eccentricity' confuses me - is that a reference to something, or do you not have eccentrics in Scotland?BlackDouglas said:

Always polite and insightful.
MickPork might be less to people's tastes, but I wouldn't have a problem with him back either.
Just think PB, you can rub their noses in it when Scotland votes no!0 -

Given that it is the political editor of The Sun that is tweeting about the Big Name and Midnight, it seems likely to be Rupert Murdoch.0
