Now that the LAB leadership is settled Starmer has edged up further in the betting for next PM. Clearly he is the main alternative to Johnson but so much could happen between now and the next general election.

A little hop and a skip on the bones of the beardy-wonder wouldn't entirely be anathema to me.
Keir less.
As someone also with a name people frequently get letters transposed in, I feel like Keir is probably inured to being annoyed by such confusion.
Personally as someone whose first and surname can be spelt wrong I am not engaging in that game. Though if I do I'll make it obvious and name him after the car brand.
The end of the Keir show.

I note the Public Health director of Liverpool Council has gone on record a couple of days ago arguing what a mistake it was for Liverpool to have gone on with that game.
But I'll be interested in both what they do and the way that they do it.

But then again, I don't see anything special about LFC it is just a business.
When all of this is over though, do people think football / sport in general will be taken a lot (or even just a bit) less seriously?
The virtual Grand National look pretty good, you probably won't have known it was virtual if it wasn't pointed out to you.
Its the same as the algebraic "proof " of 1=2

Obviously COVID is the big reason, but doe sit also give more time to find an alternative to Joe? They could have just made it an virtual conference.
It's not the job of a football club to make those decisions it's the responsibility of the government to do so.
I also said that if tourists shouldn't be coming from Spain that should apply to all tourists not just Madrid fans.
On that note, my daughter is called Keira, and spelt that way, so this should be easy for me. Regrettably I have a work colleague called Kieran, so I'm sure trouble lies ahead somewhere.
Do you divide by the hypotenuse?
Andrew Adonis correctly pointed out the poor record of Labour party leaders since its formation, with only three winning a majority (Which I assume are Attlee, Wilson and Blair.
On that subject, I'm sure I recall just after Hague lost in 2001 and resigned that it was said he was the first Conservative party leader EVER to not become Prime Minister. Haven't checked Wiki to confirm but it certainly sounds plausible.
He was swiftly followed by Duncan-Smith and Howard, who also continued his run, but then Cameron, May and Johnson have all reverted to type and become Prime Minister as well as leader of the party.
When you look back through history you are reminded just how poorly the parties OTHER than the Conservative party have done, certainly since World War I.
I think this crisis is beyond the capacity of some countries to manage...Iran...and there will be many more....
China covered it up at the start...
He apologised and vowed to tackle anti semitism in the party.

The problem has always been about capacity....once the health system cannot function everyone else becomes more vulnerable...the 50 year old with a heart attack, the 2 year old with sepsis......aside from Covid...there are many more ways can die without timely treatment...
The China push back is really quite shocking...
The last thing we want after this horror show is a Cold War with China....it seems that many people do though....
