It's even worse on an iPad, because the home button is fixed. When you use a iPhone 99% of the time you hold it the same way, not with an iPad. Microsoft's approach of swiping over a screen edge, which they used a lot with Windows 8, worked very well, and took up zero screen space. It didn't matter which way the device was held, each edge did something different, and followed the rotation of the screen. The bottom edge revealed the taskbar, app bar, or was used to unlock, the left edge revealed the switcher, right edge the Charms Bar (commands), the top edge closed the app or split the screen.
None of this made much sense on desktops, and was not popular with users, but on tablets it worked great. It may have bombed as a product but I think Windows 8 tablets had the best touch UI we've seen.0 -

But the country did not change with the referendum; the country never widely shared this Metropolitan outlook in the first place.
The second error, of course, of this viewpoint, is that Britain is now the polar opposite of this view. The country is now no more racist and isolationist than it ever was multicultural and internationalist. Re the iPhone 7, I have the OnePlus Three. It's half the price of the iPhone, and is quite the best Android phone I've ever used. It's extremely well made (much more premium than Samsung), and very quick.

It seems some in the media are already gunning for the PM. Her low profile obviously irritates them but I hope she doesn't change, as it is not her style. Unfortunately it allows the "new bastards" Soubry, Morgan and Osborne to dominate the airwaves.
The Conservatives need to be very careful, because I think Labour, in spite of their dire position at the moment, could come together very quickly. Especially, if some of the moderates get back on the front bench, as I personally think they will.

I used an Xperia XZ a couple of days ago, ordered on a few minutes later. I think it's the best phone I've ever used. Looking forward to it arriving. My biggest complaint is the clunky changes to the interface. It felt much smoother previously, now we have huge notification banners, and an unnecessary extra step to unlock the phone. I don't care about notifications on the lock screen, but Apple thinks I should care.Scott_P said:

More trouble on planet Hillary. Been saying this for a while, she isn't going to benefit from demographics as much as people believe. Partly because she's not a very good candidate and partly because over the last 8 years the Dems have had the White House and not really done much to improve the lives of minorities. In the last few weeks Trump hasn't said or done anything controversial re minorities, even his visit to Mexico went okay. He's never going to win a majority or even a decent share but I could see him get 27-33% among Hispanics, 9-14% among blacks and 35-40% among Asians and others.0 -
