It all seems a bit too much like home counties Tory gloating. There are some people who are just not comfortable in a cosmopolitan urban environment and have always resented having to come here to work. Now they don't have to come here anymore, bully for them. They can sit at home in their garden drinking Pimm's and reading the Telegraph. But many other people live in London not because they have to, but because they want to. London faces huge challenges, but "extinction level event" seems like a bit of an exaggeration. Cheaper property creates all kinds of opportunities for activities that have been priced out of London to return.
Absolutely! A London with 30% lower house prices and less traffic? Count me in please.
