    I thought it was the banks and hedge fund that caused the great financial melt down. It was not Labour who caused the deficit, sure they were too light touch with the banks, supported by the Tories of course. No, it was the Tory bankers and their hedge fund pals who created the worst slump since Capitalism was created.

    The obvious inference from this surely is that a large number of people who agree Labour wrecked the economy (again) are moral incompetents who couldn't care less, because they benefited personally last time, expect to do so again, and screw everybody else?

    Lucy Frazer is selected by South East Cambridgeshire Conservatives to replace retiring MP. She will defend a 10.3% majority over LD in 2015.

    Jo McCarron wins Labour selection in Kingswood (Con maj 5.1%).
