This, I admit, I did not see coming.

Having alienated Labour's centre he's now going for their left. He must have had a bet with John Mcdonnall how quickly he could screw up the Labour Party

This is actually very clever by Jez and Labour:

After comparing the prime minister’s refusal to offer MPs a vote on the final Brexit deal to the behaviour of Henry VIII in a Guardian interview, Corbyn will say: “Not since the second world war has Britain’s ruling elite so recklessly put the country in such an exposed position without a plan.”

If he can portray May as the dour but dithering continuation of the ruling elite, it will cause panic amongst the hard-Right Tories, who both crave the heedless populism of Trump and fear it in the hands of someone like Farage. The agitation against May will be immense from those Tories who think she's letting history pass them by. Tory unity will be shattered like an icicle on concrete.

It appears from tomorrow's newspapers' front pages that the NHS humanitarian crisis is a thing.

I did. I have been pointing out that Labour figures such as Burnham and Corbyn have been moving towards Red Brexit, reducing immigration and protecting the workers from the capitalists club of the EU.

Yes, being anti-EU and pro-Brexit is easy for Jezza, he just had to shift a bit on Free Movement - and that isn't hard, as Free Movement can easily be painted as a capitalist tool designed to lower wages for the working poor,/allow vile corporations to import cheap coolies and so on and so forth.

This is smart politics from Corbyn he's just so dim he didn't realise he could do it, until now.

It does, however, guarantee continuing war with his EU-phile, anti-Brexit Labour MPs. Heh.
Indeed, given most Labour seats voted Leave it is certainly sensible

But it's all so phoney! After everything that Corbyn and his allies have said, how does he expect simply to regenerate into a socialist anti-common marketeer on a whim? More right-leaning/Eurosceptic voters are unlikely to buy the conversion, whilst he'll infuriate the Europhile and No Borders tendencies within the PLP, membership and surviving Labour vote. There is every chance that this will lose more voters to the Lib Dems and Greens than it will win back from Ukip.

And besides, many reports suggest this evening that he is going to continue to push for "full access" to the single market. How is this possible without acceptance of the four freedoms? His position is both incoherent and desperate.

Agreed. Has Jeremy appointed a new adviser recently? This is the cleverest bit of politics he's ever done. Labour need to go hard Brexit which will, in combination with the Tory Right, put enormous pressure on May to get into a hard-Brexit bidding war. Then, of course, she's lost the moderate, pro-Business element. Might we get the Lib Dems vs ConLabKip?
