Tory source complains BBC TV news makes no mention of #EdStone derision, though last weekend whole story dedicated to PM's "West Ham" moment

Is that a formal complaint to the BBC at all? That seems taking it a little too far, even if they feel aggrieved. Makes them appear desperate for every scrap of coverage.
it is making a point surely.

Lets wait and see what the polls say again. I know you desperately want it to be true but politics isn't about what people on twitter say.

No, let's wait and see how people vote on Thursday and in the mean time let's relax and accept that que sera, sera. All this desperately wanting outcomes, and having tantrums at any sign of contradictory evidence, is a specifically rattled lefty phenomenon.
It's the PB Tories that have been expecting a comfortable win for the blues most lefties (given Ed as the leader) are pleasantly surprised how it's going. I don't know where are you are coming from with all this "rattled lefty" stuff.

The increased level of vitriol certainly seems to me to be coming from the Tory posters who can see their expectations of a Tory majority turning to dust.

Betfair markets have a minimal relationship with the current polling. It's all very odd.

Indeed - what is the consensus re why the odds are what they are?

Do people think that the Con odds at least to some extent reflect what has been seen of postal votes?

How stupid can the Tories get ? They can see their "natural right" to rule slip away.

    This is sheer desperation.

I don't know where either of you are coming from, as from what I can tell there are just as many Tories on here who don't think they will win and haven't for quite a long time, and although I detect a bit more lefty confidence in recent weeks, there's still plenty of lefties who are determinedly pessimistic.

Does anyone have a timetable for the expected publication of all remaining polls (excluding YouGov which we know is every night at 10.30pm)?

Will the usual Mon Populus and Ashcroft both move to Tue? Will that be the final poll for those two pollsters?

    What about everyone else?

The party of Europe, the Liberal Democrats, will now acquiesce to a referendum being called on Europe.

Where has this proud party come down to ? Now just a Tory b!tch. So why will they not be in a coalition with UKIP.

Ishmael X reckoned the long term trend in polling would see Dave comfortably remain PM.

It could go either way but comfortable looks unlikely

Fifteen minutes in and it has descended into chaos. There's clearly no love lost between Ruth Davidson and Jim Murphy. She accuses the Scots Labour leader of "an outright lie" over claims he made on benefit sanctions.

"He's peddling a falsehood that he knows is fictitious," she says, prompting Mr Murphy's to respond: "How dare you call me a liar."

It's hard to make out what they're saying now as they're both shouting over each other.

Quite a lot of the 'horror stories' of sanctions ive heard are nothing of the sort (not to say that when you have a million sanctions you wont have unjust incidents).

The whole "my daughter was in hospital and i was sanctioned" or the "i had a job interview on signing on day and was sanctioned" are usually fictions, or perversions of the actual facts.

In case Ed Miliband doesn't win, contingency plans are being drawn up:

    http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/89e4d760-eff1-11e4-bb88-00144feab7de.html#axzz3Z6B0YJwe

"Allies of Ed Miliband have discussed how to keep the Labour leader in his post if both main parties fail to win a majority in Thursday’s general election, as part of preparations for a possible second election months later."

It's noteworthy mainly for an on-the-record quote from Andy Burnham:

"Andy Burnham, shadow health secretary, who is expected to run in any future Labour leadership contest, said Mr Miliband had emerged stronger from the election campaign.

Asked whether the Labour leader could remain in the post even if he failed to become prime minister, Mr Burnham told the Financial Times: “Of course he can.” "

Ms Sturgeon says the SNP would not vote for a Labour budget that proposed more spending cuts - saying the party would fight for a fairer deal.

"The cat is out the bag," declares Mr Murphy. "The SNP are clear that after Friday they are willing to bring down a Labour budget and Labour's Queen Speech."

Jim Muprhy insists that Labour will not do a post-election deal with the SNP if it falls short of a majority.

But how will you get a budget passed if you don't win a majority? Mr Murphy turns the question on Nicola Sturgeon - and challenges her to say under what circumstances she would vote against Labour and with the Conservatives.

'I wouldn't call it a gaffe. I'd call it a smart move. Firstly, I think it makes Ed stand out from the crowd. To the ordinary voter, it distinguishes him from the other opportunists who live by the precept: "What do I care about the rubbish I talked yesterday to get elected?" It brings the issue into focus. Secondly, take note that there is nothing about the SNP on the pledges... Ed's killing 2 birds with 1 stone.'

Your having a laugh,it's not a gaffe it's taking voters as being completely stupid.

There is absolutely nothing in the 6 pledges that can be measured it's just vacuous waffle.

'Homes to buy and action on rents'.

We already have homes to buy so half that pledge has been achieved in opposition!.

If we had put his pledge of 1 million new build houses by 2020 then people might take it seriously.

'Controls on immigration' - as we already have controls that pledge has again been achieved in opposition

'An NHS with time to care' - Any clue how that will be measured?

It's bullshit on stilts providing a good laugh for the bank holiday weekend.
